Position Summary:

Our partner, a fast-growing SaaS company offering intuitive remote monitoring and endpoint management software for IT teams, is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented QA Engineer to join their team. As a QA Engineer, you will work closely with both the development and product teams to design and execute manual test plans, identify and report bugs, and ensure a high standard of product quality. In addition, you will support the ticketing team by triaging incoming issues, reproducing bugs, and verifying fixes—serving as a crucial bridge between customer-reported issues and the engineering team. You will also act as a subject matter expert in manual testing tools, approaches, and best practices.

Experience and Education:

  • B.S. in Computer Science or related experience.
  • 4+ years of hands-on experience in Manual QA across diverse projects and domains.
  • Experience with manual testing of virtualized environments, ensuring performance and reliability.
  • Experience working with ticketing teams to validate issues reported through ticketing systems and support portals.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop comprehensive test plans and strategies aligned with business requirements and project objectives.
  • Write and execute detailed manual test cases for systems , applications, APIs, and database components.
  • Conduct functional, regression, and exploratory testing across virtual environments ( Windows / Linux VMs).
  • Create and maintain well-structured test scenarios and data that support thorough and repeatable testing processes.
  • Use SQL /PostgreSQL to validate database records, run queries, and verify stored procedures.
  • Accurately identify, document, and prioritize defects using JIRA, including reproduction steps and severity levels.
  • Respond to client-reported issues from the ticketing system by reproducing bugs, validating functionality, and identifying root causes.
  • Ensure the availability and integrity of test data by creating, modifying, and validating datasets.
  • Maintain organized and current documentation for test cases, test plans, and overall QA processes.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams—including developers, product managers, and business analysts—to align on testing priorities and ensure issue resolution.
  • Support continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to optimize manual testing approaches and apply QA best practices.
  • Take ownership of end-to-end testing of SaaS platforms and support portal functionalities.
  • Help drive test coverage, improve defect prevention practices, and uphold infrastructure quality standards.
