I am looking for a CAD/CAM technician who can create clean 2D profiles and CNC ready files for foam trim and molding production. The workflow is similar to the process shown in this video: https://youtu.be/05KDztqI2qo?si=AhXaZWBtwd4B2FfM (Hotwire layout, DXF profile creation, nesting, and G Code/toolpath export). Work includes: Creating accurate 2D CAD drawings of foam trim, molding, or architectural profiles Exporting clean DXF files with correct scale, layers, and orientation Laying out and nesting parts efficiently to minimize waste Preparing CNC ready files for a hot wire cutting machine (toolpaths, offsets, cut direction, etc.) Following provided sketches, reference photos, or sample profiles and converting them into production ready digital files Ongoing work available if quality is high and communication is strong Preferred experience: Rhino, AutoCAD, or similar 2D CAD software Experience preparing drawings for CNC machines Basic CAM knowledge (toolpaths, offsets, kerf compensation) Familiarity with foam cutting or architectural trim is a plus but not required Deliverables: DXF file of the profile Nested layout of parts CNC ready export (G Code or equivalent machine compatible format)
