The Opportunity

  • In this role, you will execute and coordinate Brazil-based accounting and finance activities in partnership with Global Finance and external advisors. You will own the local month-end close, ensure compliance with Brazilian laws and regulations, contribute to budgeting and forecasting, and manage audits and government reporting. You will also play a key role in improving financial processes, contributing to operational initiatives, and identifying opportunities for efficiency and cost savings.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Accounting & Finance
  • Manage and execute the Brazil portion of the month-end close and prepare local financial reporting
  • Contribute to quarterly and annual forecasts and budgets
  • Coordinate and manage annual tax filings and ongoing fiscal obligations in Brazil
  • Manage audits and all required government reporting
  • Ensure compliance with Brazilian tax laws and fiscal regulations
  • Identify and evaluate financial optimization opportunities, including subsidies
  • Review, maintain, and improve financial policies, procedures, and internal controls
  • Serve as a financial advisor to management, providing clear insights and recommendations
  • Act as the primary point of contact with third-party accounting firms, including reviewing and evaluating their services
  • Oversee departmental purchasing activity and identify cost-reduction opportunities
  • Review and manage entries, payments, receivables, and reconciliations
  • Operations

Partner with the Global Facilities Manager to

  • Identify workflow inefficiencies and operational friction points
  • Develop, document, and maintain operational policies and procedures for Brazil
  • Contribute to regional budget planning, tracking, and reporting

Provide budgetary and financial input for Brazil-based projects, including

  • Facility-related initiatives
  • Insurance coverage oversight and claims coordination
  • Coordination with internal teams, vendors, and external partners

What You’ll Need

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration
  • 5–7 years of experience in an accounting or finance role within Brazil
  • Strong working knowledge of Brazilian fiscal laws, tax regulations, and compliance requirements
  • Experience with month-end close, financial reporting, reconciliations, tax filings, and government reporting
  • Experience working with US GAAP reporting in a multinational environment
  • Active registration with the CRC (Conselho Regional de Contabilidade) is required.
  • Experience creating, managing, and tracking regional budgets and forecasts
  • Strong organizational skills and high attention to detail
  • Proven ability to manage deadlines and operate with minimal oversight.
  • Clear communication skills and the ability to work effectively with stakeholders and vendors
  • Comfort presenting financial data and results
  • Strong results-focused problem-solving and time-management skills
  • Fluency in Portuguese and English
  • Proficiency with Excel and financial or expense management systems
