Our 3 core values: -Embrace Collaboration -Continuous Learning -Be Honest Role Summary The Advertorial Copywriter is responsible for creating persuasive, conversion-focused advertorials that bridge storytelling and direct response marketing. This role combines research, CRO-informed copywriting, and collaborative page development to produce high-performing pre-sale pages that drive revenue for our clients. How This Role Fits on the Team You’ll work closely with the Advertorial & CRO Lead, who provides strategic direction, oversees messaging frameworks, and ensures performance optimization through testing and analytics. Your role as the Advertorial Copywriter is to: -Write and refine long-form advertorials tailored to client objectives and DTC audiences -Apply direct response and CRO principles to maximize engagement and conversions -Collaborate with developers building advertorials on Shopify, Webflow, or Replo -Use proven frameworks (inspired by Madvertorials and other industry best practices) to structure compelling, compliant copy -Own the narrative quality and persuasive strength of advertorials, while the CRO team brings it to life through testing, insights, and optimization Key Responsibilities Advertorial Copy & Research -Write high-converting advertorials, blending storytelling with direct-response techniques -Conduct audience, product, and competitor research to inform messaging -Structure and wireframe copy using proven frameworks and swipe file references -Collaborate with design and development to align copy with layout and UX Collaboration & Workflow -Partner with the Advertorial Lead to align on messaging direction and page flow -Work alongside the CRO Lead to apply testing insights, heatmaps, and analytics to copy decisions -Participate in necessary client calls and cross-functional syncs -Write email conversion flows and assist the email team with workload when needed Optimization & CRO Strategy -Apply CRO tools and strategies (e.g., A/B testing, headline/CTA optimization, analytics) to improve performance -Adapt copy frameworks based on results, continually testing hooks, angles, and CTAs Disqualifiers (Who Shouldn’t Apply) -If you lack experience in direct response or long-form copywriting -If you prefer working in isolation and struggle with feedback or collaboration -If you have little to no familiarity with DTC marketing and eCommerce customer journeys -If you avoid fast-paced, iterative workflows -If you’re not comfortable joining client calls and team syncs Qualifications & Experience Required -3+ years of copywriting experience with a focus on direct response or advertorials -Strong understanding of CRO principles and ability to apply testing insights -Familiarity with advertorial frameworks such as those taught in Madvertorials (wireframing, swipe file use, real-time structuring) -Ability to collaborate effectively with strategy, CRO, and development teams -Excellent writing, editing, and storytelling skills across multiple brand voices -Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-moving environment Nice to Have -Experience with Shopify, Webflow, or Replo workflows -Hands-on familiarity with CRO tools (A/B testing platforms, heatmaps, analytics dashboards) -Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, English, or related field -Experience in DTC/eCommerce marketing environments Tools We Use -Slack: Team communication and quick updates -ClickUp: Task and project management -Zoom & Google Meet: Weekly client calls and team meetings -Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides): Collaboration hub for drafts and analysis -Figma: Visual and design collaboration -Shopify / Webflow / Replo: Platforms for advertorial development -CRO tools (heatmaps, analytics, A/B testing platforms): For optimization and performance tracking Benefits -Mentorship from industry leaders and continuous training opportunities -Career development as the agency expands into new realms (events, private communities, learning resources) -Opportunity to grow with a movement aiming to dominate retention marketing in eCommerce for CRM -Engage with a supportive, collaborative team while working on diverse and exciting D2C brands -Competitive salary and performance bonuses -Work with high-profile DTC brands, building a standout portfolio -Flexible and remote-friendly work environment
