The Role We are looking for a qualified professional to join our team as a Backup Systems Senior Specialist, combining hands-on technical execution with strategic consulting capabilities. This role is ideal for someone who wants to lead initiatives to modernize and optimize backup environments, ensuring security, efficiency, and compliance. Key Responsibilities: Design and implement new components and improvements for backup tools; Develop capacity solutions for backup repositories (local storage, tape, cloud, etc.); Establish and maintain backup routines, including data immutability, integrity checks, redundancy, and offsite storage; Plan and execute system upgrade activities; Review and enhance backup policies, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and industry best practices; Evaluate and implement security best practices for backup environment; Perform cost-benefit and risk analyses in backup environments. Required skill : Required solid experience in enterprise backup environments as NetBackup, Networker, Veeam and Azure Backup; Strategic mindset with the ability to propose improvements and ensure system resilience; Ability to act as a trusted advisor, guiding stakeholders on best practices and technical decisions; Preferred: Certification in Veritas Certified Professional (VCP); Previous experience in consulting and projects.
