  • In this role, you will be a key contributor to the developer-facing platform, building backend services and APIs that enable external engineers to seamlessly integrate and interact with the system. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, ensuring that services are reliable, scalable, and secure while maintaining a high standard of code quality. Your contributions will directly impact developer adoption, platform reliability, and the overall user experience. The role provides the autonomy to design and implement backend solutions, shape technical best practices, and influence how integrations are built and maintained at scale.   • Accountabilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs used by external developers.
  • Model and persist data, orchestrate workflows, and integrate with internal services end-to-end.
  • Ensure code quality and maintainability through testing, CI/CD pipelines, code reviews, logging, and monitoring.
  • Collaborate closely with product, frontend, and delivery teams to define requirements and deliver milestones.
  • Maintain observability and operability of services with metrics, structured logs, and alerts.
  • Implement secure authentication, rate limiting, input validation, and access control in backend services.
  • Document APIs and backend systems to enhance developer onboarding and adoption.
  • Strong professional experience in Python, with hands-on use of frameworks such as Django and FastAPI.
  • Solid experience with SQL databases such as PostgreSQL and Snowflake.
  • Experience building production-grade RESTful endpoints and microservices on cloud platforms (AWS preferred).
  • Familiarity with automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and observability tools.
  • Knowledge of system design fundamentals: data modeling, caching, consistency boundaries, and performance optimization.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across distributed, remote teams.
  • Experience with AI-assisted coding tools (e.g., Cursor) while maintaining high engineering standards.
  • Excellent communication skills in English and Spanish.
