We’re looking for a copywriter who can help strengthen and harmonize our voice across every touchpoint, from cold email campaigns and landing pages to social captions and community newsletters. ROLE OVERVIEW This is a part-time, ongoing role focused on maintaining a consistent, thoughtful, and on-brand voice across all of our outward-facing content. You’ll: • Write original copy across channels • Edit and refine drafts already in progress • Translate strategy into clear, human language • Ensure everything we publish meets our standards for clarity, tone, and inclusivity *This role requires strong attention to detail, comfort working inside a process, and the ability to move between high-level storytelling and foundational brand work. RESPONSIBILITIES • Write, edit, and refine copy across: • Website pages & landing pages • Marketing and cold email campaigns • Instagram, LinkedIn, and TikTok captions • Community newsletters (Klaviyo) • Packaging inserts, event materials, and one-pagers • Review and elevate existing copy to match our brand voice and messaging framework • Produce clean, complete drafts that don’t require heavy back-and-forth • Support brand research tasks when needed (voice audits, competitive scans, content examples, etc.) • Ensure all language reflects accessibility, inclusion, and our mission • Work with our design and marketing teams to build cohesive campaigns • Maintain accurate task updates and requirements in Trello WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR • Proven experience writing for brands with a clear, consistent voice • Ability to switch tone across channels without losing cohesion • Strong editorial instincts and excellent proofreading skills • High attention to detail and comfort following established workflows • Ability to take initiative, ask clarifying questions early, and deliver on time • Experience writing for mission-driven, creative, or consumer-facing brands • Comfortable in a fast-moving environment where clarity and ownership matter OUR TOOLBOX • Google Workspace • Trello • Klaviyo • Instagram / TikTok / LinkedIn • Shopify • AI / ChatGPT / Gemini / Claude / Perplexity • Experience using AI to automate copy using brand voice, tone, and brand guidelines THE RIGHT STUFF • You default to clarity, consistency, and completeness • You’re proactive in getting answers rather than guessing • You deliver drafts that are publication-ready or very close • You take feedback well and implement it quickly • You can handle both creative copywriting and foundational brand tasks • You see yourself as a partner in building a voice, not a task-only executor DETAILS Hours: 10–15 per week Schedule: Flexible, with some overlap in Pacific Time (7–10am) for check-ins Type: Freelance, ongoing Rate: Please include your hourly rate and portfolio with relevant samples *NOTE: We’re hiring an individual freelancer — no agencies, no team-based accounts, no profile-sharing.
