We’re building a new coffee brand, grounded, dry, self-aware, industrial, and warm. The concept blends the inviting heat of coffee with a calm, emotionally restrained energy, set against an interior palette of concrete, cream, matte black, and raw wood. It’s not cute, not ironic, and not a vibe-for-the-sake-of-vibe project. It’s truthful, confident design that lives between brutalism and tenderness. A deliberate tension between comfort and composure. What We Need A brand designer / creative partner who can take a clear creative vision and translate it into: A wordmark and logo system that feels permanent, not trendy A visual identity suite (type hierarchy, color, texture, and signage direction) Packaging / sleeve design (coffee cups, to-go bags, minimal merch) A small set of brand language rules - tone, tagline system, interior copy usage Menu mockup Optional: coordination with our interior designer to ensure brand and space feel inseparable The Vibe Industrial, airy, and human. Think: plaster walls, micro-cement, white oak, matte finishes. The tone: calm, confident, emotionally fluent. If your favorite color palette is black, cream, and honesty — you’ll fit in. The Role You’ll work directly with the founder to: Develop 2–3 brand directions and refine to final Build a minimalist but complete brand guide deck (logo, font, palette, applications) Prepare print-ready assets for cup sleeves, apparel, signage, and digital templates Collaborate lightly with the interior designer for wall typography integration What We’re Looking For Strong portfolio in hospitality, CPG, or minimal retail design Fluency in typography-driven branding, type tells the story here Understanding of tone as a visual element Experience with industrial / boutique coffee or bar environments a plus Able to balance edge and restraint Comfortable presenting 1–2 directions with reasoning, not just decoration Collaborative but self-directed, small team, quick decisions Bonus: Copywriting or brand-language sensitivity (short-form, minimal lines) Deliverables Primary and secondary logo marks (AI / EPS / SVG) Color palette and type hierarchy (Google Fonts preferred) Brand tone sheet (5–10 core lines, one-sentence philosophy) Branded collateral mockups (cup, bag, merch) 10–15 page mini brand deck for handoff
