Team Overview and Responsibilities We are seeking a Logistics, Distribution, and Warehousing Manager to join our team. Based in Sorocaba, Brazil, this position will be responsible for managing distribution and inbound and outbound logistics operations across three sites in Brazil, ensuring compliance with agreed delivery deadlines, balancing supply and demand, adapting operational capabilities, and optimizing available resources such as materials, labor, equipment, and devices. The position will be responsible for managing transportation and activities related to distribution and receiving. The position will have strong ties with the Production/Sales/R&D/Purchasing/Customer Service/Security/Quality/HSE departments. Main responsibilities: • Manage inbound, outbound (shipments), warehousing, and production supply operations, according to demand; • Responsible for operational logistics for both MTS and MTO; • Responsible for scrap management, in alignment with production, HSE, and supplies; • Responsible for sizing and enabling the resources needed to meet distribution needs in accordance with the S&OP; • Manage internal and transportation operations, prioritizing personnel safety; • Ensure the quality of materials throughout the entire handling and delivery process, avoiding rework and customer complaints; • Anticipate operational needs and potential challenges regarding the delivery flow with transportation service providers; • Act with a strong focus on innovation and sustainability, identifying opportunities for efficiency and reducing environmental impact, as well as ensuring effective execution on these topics; • Responsible for annual cost, investment, and efficiency planning, and successfully execute it, achieving the established goals; • Manage logistics KPIs to maintain the required control levels for OTD, Slow Movers, Logistics Costs, and others; • Ensure the accuracy of raw material and finished product inventories; • Develop and continuously improve logistics operations management tools in terms of quality, cost, and deadline; • Maintain a daily monitoring database for distribution activities and establish an Operating Cadence standard with the team; • Participate in ACC/ACO meetings for large projects to understand customer needs and define the most appropriate logistics strategy; • Monitor the invoicing, shipping, and delivery backlog with the plant logistics team, as defined in the S&OP and updated daily by the S&OE; • Share the indicator targets for each unit with the plant logistics team and work with the team to support actions that lead to meeting these targets; • Comply with current DOA standards and ensure compliance with the company's Compliance guidelines, as well as collaborate in the maintenance of the Company's Integrated Management System (Quality, Environmental Management, and Occupational Health and Safety). Who are we looking for? We are looking for someone with the following skills and motivations: • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Logistics/Supply Chain, or Business Administration. An MBA and/or postgraduate degree in business administration/engineering/logistics is a plus; • Advanced English skills; • Knowledge of ERP systems (SAP preferred) and advanced Excel preferred; • Hands-on, results-oriented, with a sense of urgency, proactive, and resilient; • Proven experience and process insight in managing inbound/outbound logistics, material handling, warehousing, inventory control, and transportation management; • Experience managing logistics operations teams; • Experience managing remote teams.
