We are creating a new agricultural company in Brazil and need an experienced Brazilian accountant (“Contador”) who can manage the full company formation process and ongoing compliance. The company will be based in Mato Grosso and operate in coffee farming, land acquisition, and future export operations. We are a U.S.–based firm with agricultural operations in northern Brazil. Accuracy, speed, and clear communication are essential. Responsibilities • Handle full company formation for a Brazilian LTDA • Act as or provide the required Legal Representative (Brazilian citizen/resident with CPF in good standing) • Prepare and file the Contrato Social • Register the company with:  – Junta Comercial  – Receita Federal (CNPJ)  – Municipality and State as needed  – INSS • Guide selection of tax regime (Simples Nacional vs. Lucro Presumido) • Register rural property with INCRA and obtain CCIR when needed • Coordinate CAR environmental registry • Prepare MAPA registrations for agricultural activity • Provide ongoing monthly accounting (optional add-on) Requirements • Certified Brazilian accountant / Contador with proven experience • Demonstrated knowledge of agricultural companies or rural producers • Experience opening companies with foreign ownership • Ability to explain what is required, timelines, and risks clearly • Up-to-date knowledge of taxes, statutes, and regulatory requirements • Comfortable working with a U.S. owner (English + Portuguese preferred) • Must understand compliance in Mato Grosso, including rural land rules Deliverables • Fully registered LTDA ready for banking and operations • Clear timeline and step-by-step documentation • All government receipts, filings, and protocols • Guidance on banking options (Bradesco, BB, Sicredi, etc.) • Optional: monthly accounting proposal Ideal Candidate Someone who has set up companies for foreign investors before, communicates proactively, and knows the specific regulations affecting rural land ownership, agricultural taxation, and MAPA/INCRA compliance.
