We are creating a hybrid illustrated children’s book titled “Tico, Ligia, the Iguana, and the Giant.” The story blends adventure, humor, and cultural richness, inspired by real-life events and Colombian landscapes. Illustration Style: Classic storybook/tall tale feel with nostalgic realism. Soft ink outlines and watercolor washes for characters (think E.H. Shepard – Winnie the Pooh). Vibrant, detailed backgrounds inspired by Where’s Waldo, but with only 2–3 playful elements per scene (not cluttered). Atmosphere: Warm, sandy, tropical Barranquilla with subtle magical realism. Key Requirements: Ability to capture semi-realistic human characters (Tico and Ligia) based on reference photos. Whimsical fantasy characters (Giant, Iguana, Copetón bird) integrated naturally into Colombian settings. Scenes as characters: Barranquilla streets, Puerto Colombia beach, Monserrate mountain, Casa de Nariño, La Sabana. Include cultural details: raspao carts, mango trees, Colombian foods (arepas, patacones, mojarra frita). Hidden elements: Iguana and Copetón bird in relevant illustrations for an interactive “find-it” game. ✅ Expanded Scope – Beyond Illustrations In addition to creating illustrations, I need full book layout and production-ready files so the final product can be printed and published. This includes: Page Layout & Design: Arrange text and illustrations in a professional, visually appealing format for a children’s book (size: 8.5 x 11 inches). Typography & Styling: Choose fonts and styles that complement the story and illustrations. Print-Ready Files: Deliver high-resolution files in the correct format for printing (PDF/X for print, plus source files like InDesign or Illustrator). Bleed & Margins: Ensure proper bleed, trim, and safe zones for printing. Cover Design: Front, back, and spine design with title, author name, and any branding elements. Export for Platforms: Provide files optimized for: Amazon KDP (paperback and hardcover specs). IngramSpark (or similar print-on-demand services). Digital Version: Optional eBook format (EPUB or PDF) for Kindle or other platforms. ✅ Deliverables 20 full-color illustrations integrated into the book layout.
