Consultant Needed to Help Build and Guide New Clothing Brand (Sourcing, Manufacturing, and Process Development) Description: My business partner and I are launching a new clothing brand and are looking for an experienced consultant who can guide us through the entire process from concept to production. We need someone who understands the real-world steps, costs, and logistics involved in creating and scaling a clothing line. We’re specifically looking for someone who meets the following criteria: What We Need Help With: * Understanding the full lifecycle of building a clothing brand (design, sourcing, sampling, production, quality control, shipping, inventory planning) * Breaking down realistic costs, including samples, minimum order quantities, production, shipping/freight, packaging, and inventory management * Guidance on working with manufacturers in India, Turkey, Bangladesh, Vietnam, or similar regions * Help identifying the right vendors and understanding quality differences between regions * Advice on setting up logistics, labeling, packaging, and production timelines * Understanding private-label versus custom manufacturing options * Assistance evaluating suppliers and avoiding common pitfalls * High-level brand development support (steps required to launch, what order things should happen, what to expect financially) Ideal Candidate: * Has launched or managed their own clothing brand * Has direct experience working with overseas manufacturers * Can show examples of brands they’ve helped or built * Can clearly explain the process to beginners * Understands pricing, margins, and production planning * Has experience with small-batch production as well as scaling Deliverables: * Walk us through the steps of creating our first product line * Guide us through choosing the right sourcing strategy * Help us understand timeline, cost expectations, and realistic launch goals * Provide recommendations based on real experience * Ongoing guidance as needed Hourly or Fixed Project: We are flexible, though hourly consulting is likely the best fit.
