Job Description The Commercial and Market Access Executive Director will lead the strategic integration of commercial operations and market access initiatives for our company subsidiary in Brazil. This role is pivotal in ensuring that our companies' medicines and vaccines are accessible to patients while driving commercial excellence, portfolio growth, and stakeholder engagement. The incumbent will serve on the leadership committee and act as a key interface between the company, government bodies, industry associations, and global teams, Main Responsibilities: Commercial Strategy Development and Execution: Oversee commercial planning and execution, including account management and institutional agreements. Lead commercial forecasting, performance tracking, and resource allocation for optimal market impact. Market Access Leadership: Develop and implement comprehensive market access strategies for new and existing products. Lead initiatives related to Health Technology Assessment (HTA), pricing, and reimbursement. Ensure alignment with public and private sector access policies and long-term sustainability. Payer Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with key payers, government agencies, and other stakeholders to facilitate product access and favorable coverage decisions. Pricing and Reimbursement: Oversee pricing strategies and reimbursement negotiations to optimize product value and ensure commercial viability. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Medical Affairs, Regulatory, Marketing, and Sales teams to align business objectives and ensure seamless execution of market access initiatives. Team Leadership: Manage and develop a high-performing team of over 40 professionals, including account managers. Recruit, develop, and manage a high-performing team, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement. Financial Management: Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial models to ensure commercial objectives are met efficiently. Compliance: Ensure all market access and commercial activities comply with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies. Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with payers, healthcare providers, regulatory bodies, and industry organizations. Represent our company in forums and discussions to influence policy and access conditions. Collaborate with global and regional teams to ensure strategic alignment and execution Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in business, Life Sciences, Pharmacy, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred. 10+ years of experience in commercial, market access, or related roles within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or healthcare sectors. Strong understanding of Brazilian healthcare systems, pricing regulations, and institutional channels. Expert knowledge of pricing, reimbursement, and healthcare policy. Strong leadership and team management experience. Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills. Ability to analyze complex data and translate insights into actionable strategies. High level of integrity and commitment to compliance.
