Responsibilities: Analyze the current Azure SQL Database environment (consumption, DTUs/vCores, tiers, elastic pools, etc.); Review queries, indexes, procedures, and database architecture to identify bottlenecks; Propose and implement configuration and autoscaling adjustments to reduce costs without sacrificing performance; Apply FinOps practices to ensure ongoing cost governance; Integrate recommendations with monitoring tools (Azure Monitor, Application Insights, Log Analytics); Provide documentation and best practices for future maintenance. Requirements: Proven experience with Azure SQL Database (including Hyperscale, Serverless, and Elastic Pools); Strong knowledge in query optimization, indexing, and database tuning; Hands-on experience with DevOps (CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation); Experience with FinOps (cloud cost optimization and governance); Technical English (for reading Azure documentation and reports).
