Job Description: We are looking for a talented and passionate Entry-Level Creative Artist to join our dynamic team. As an artist at Otherworlds Inc., you will have the opportunity to contribute to a variety of projects, including video games, comics, and high-end illustrations. This role is perfect for someone eager to grow their skills and make a significant impact in the entertainment industry. Please Note: You will work in a collaborative team environment where support and teamwork are paramount. We believe in collective growth and provide courses to help you further develop your skills. For example, if you work on a comic, you will focus on one aspect of the project, such as coloring, line art, or polishing, while collaborating with a team dedicated to other facets. This approach ensures that each project benefits from diverse expertise and a cohesive effort, enhancing both your individual growth and our collective success. Responsibilities: • Create line art and sketch art for various projects. • Develop detailed manga pages and comic pages. • Produce colored character art and character sheets. • Design high-end art piece illustrations. • Collaborate with writers, designers, and other artists to ensure the visual elements align with the narrative and gameplay. • Participate in regular team meetings and brainstorming sessions. This position is a commission based position, hourly will only apply in meetings, but for actual work, the amounts will be paid below. Amounts vary based on complexity and level of polish. Entry Rates: • Line Art and Sketch Art: $8 - $12 • Manga Page: $15 - $30 • Colored Character Art: $20 - $25 • Character Sheet: $20 - $35 • Comic Page (Line-Art): $15 - $25 • High-End Art Piece Illustration: $35 - $55 • Art in General (Logo and other Designs): $8 - $55 Rates After 8 Months: • Line Art and Sketch Art: $12 - $18 • Manga Page: $20 - $40 • Colored Character Art: $25 - $35 • Character Sheet: $25 - $55 • Comic Page: $25 - $40 • High-End Art Piece Illustration: $50 - $100 • Cover Art: $75 - $150 • Art in General (Logo and other Designs): $12 - $125 Rates are open for negotiation once every annual year and you may get offered access to shares or royalties depending on the project. Requirements: • Proficiency in digital art software such as Adobe Creative Suite, Clip Studio Paint, or equivalent. • Strong portfolio showcasing your range of artistic skills. • Ability to work collaboratively in a remote team environment. • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work. • Excellent time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines. • Passion for storytelling and creating immersive experiences. Preferred Qualifications: • Previous experience in the gaming or entertainment industry. • Knowledge of 3D modeling and animation. • Understanding of the principles of character design and storytelling.
