- Overview
- The Customer Success Account Manager (CSAM) drives strategic engagement with customers to ensure successful adoption and value realization of Microsoft solutions. This role focuses on building strong executive relationships, aligning Microsoft technologies with customer business priorities, and leading initiatives that deliver operational health and long-term success. The CSAM acts as a trusted advisor, orchestrating resources across internal teams and partners to achieve agreed-upon outcomes and accelerate digital transformation.
- Responsibilities
- Develop Strategic Relationships
- Build and maintain executive-level relationships with key customer stakeholders to align Microsoft solutions with business objectives.
- Lead Customer Success Planning
- Create and execute Customer Success Plans (CSPs) that support account priorities and drive adoption of Microsoft technologies.
- Orchestrate Delivery Programs
- Manage program planning, customer-facing reviews, and prioritization of engagements to ensure operational health and value realization.
- Identify and Mitigate Blockers
- Proactively monitor and resolve issues impacting consumption through data analysis and collaboration with internal teams.
- Drive Business Value Conversations
- Influence customer decision-making by demonstrating how Microsoft solutions enable strategic outcomes and transformation.
- Align Technical Solutions
- Map customer needs to Microsoft offerings (e.g., Azure, Modern Work, Dynamics) and collaborate with technical specialists for complex scenarios.
- Promote Growth and Retention
- Partner with customers to identify opportunities for optimization, adoption, and expansion to maximize satisfaction and minimize churn.
- Qualifications
- Required/minimum qualifications
- Master's Degree in Business, Sociology, Psychology, Computer Science, or related field AND 3+ years customer success, solution delivery, practice management, customer-facing consulting, or portfolio management experience OR Bachelor's Degree in Business, Sociology, Psychology, Computer Science or related field AND 4+ years customer success, solution delivery, practice management, customer-facing consulting, or portfolio management experience OR equivalent experience
- 3+ years relevant work experience within customer industry
- Additional or preferred qualifications
- Master's Degree in Business, Sociology, Psychology, Computer Science, or related field AND 6+ years customer success, solution delivery, practice management, customer-facing consulting, or portfolio management experience OR Bachelor's Degree in Business, Sociology, Psychology, Computer Science or related field AND 8+ years customer success, solution delivery, practice management, customer-facing consulting, or portfolio management experience OR equivalent experience
- Microsoft or competitor equivalent (e.g., AWS) certification in relevant technologies (e.g., Azure, 365)
- Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) Foundation certification or equivalent service management certification
- Project Management Institute (PMI) or equivalent Project Management certification
- Prosci or equivalent certification.
