  • We are looking for a high-energy Data Analyst who is comfortable stepping away from the code to talk to the business. You will support three major AI initiatives, with a specific focus on the data groundwork required for a ServiceNow Software Asset Management (SAM) module implementation.
  • This is not a heavy engineering or development role. We need a Data Analyst who is happy to handle the "less technical" but critical aspects of the job: hunting down data, manual data preparation, and cross-functional communication.
  • Ideal Profile: You are a Data Analyst by trade, but you operate like a Business Analyst. You understand data structure and quality, but you are equally comfortable picking up the phone to interview stakeholders or mapping out a process in Lucidchart.

  • What You'll Do
  • Data Collection and Cleansing: Collect and extract data from diverse sources such as Excel, SharePoint Lists, and shadow IT systems to support the SAM module and AI training pools.
  • Source Data Validation: Apply quality assurance by validating datasets with ServiceNow import/export and analysis tools for accuracy, consistency, and completeness before platform ingestion.
  • Shadow IT Data Capture: Identify, document, and collect data from shadow IT to ensure a full inventory for Application Portfolio Management and SAM.
  • Application Cataloging: Define necessary metadata and attribute data to support initial application cataloging within the SAM module.
  • Requirements Gathering: Lead targeted sessions with IT, Finance, and Asset Management stakeholders to establish business logic, compliance rules, and reporting needs for ServiceNow SAM.
  • AI Ticketing Data Specification: Specify requirements for structure, volume, and quality of historical ticket data to train and validate the AI Ticketing Agent model.
  • Data Flow and Mapping: Develop source-to-target mapping and transformation logic for data integration, ensuring new ServiceNow modules align with master data definitions.
  • Platform Stabilization: Support the initial build-out and stabilization of new data platforms and transition processes to the internal team upon completion.
  • What We're Looking for
  • Strong proficiency in Excel (for manual data prep) and Lucidchart (for diagrams).
  • You must be able to operate at a fast pace. The team is tenacious and focused on getting things done, so being proactive and a bias to action.
  • Experience with SQL/Power BI and other data tools is highly desirable but may not be needed on Day 1.
  • Experience with ServiceNow import/export and data profiling proficiency is highly desirable.
  • Strong business process documentation and requirements writing capabilities.
  • Ability to gather requirements and lead sessions with a variety of business stakeholders.
  • Understanding of data attributes, relationships, and hygiene, even if you aren't writing complex code all day
  • Excellent communication skills for documentation and knowledge transfer.
