• We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer to design, optimize, and maintain data pipelines that consolidate and analyze financial information. In this role, you will implement robust financial data models, automate reporting processes, and build dashboards to monitor key metrics such as cash flow, revenues, costs, and taxes. You will focus on improving processing times, storage efficiency, and ensuring the security and governance of financial data. The role provides an opportunity to work fully remotely while contributing directly to critical business operations. The ideal candidate enjoys solving complex data challenges, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and leveraging cloud technologies for scalable, efficient solutions.
• Accountabilities
• Design and optimize data pipelines (ETL/ELT) for financial data consolidation and analysis.
• Implement financial data models to support reporting and analytics needs.
• Automate dashboards and reports to track key metrics such as cash flow, revenues, costs, and taxes.
• Monitor and optimize data processing performance and storage efficiency within the data warehouse.
• Ensure data security, compliance, and governance standards are maintained.
• Collaborate with business and technical teams to deliver actionable insights.
• 4+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or similar role, preferably handling financial or accounting data.
• Advanced proficiency in SQL and strong knowledge of data modeling for financial analysis.
• Experience building ETL/ELT pipelines using tools such as dbt, Dataform, Airflow, or similar.
• Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms, preferably GCP (BigQuery, Cloud Functions, Cloud Storage).
• Advanced Python skills for data manipulation and processing.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, Industrial Engineering, or related fields.
