A day in the life
- The Data Integration Manager is the go-to expert for active client integrations within Power Digital’s nova ecosystem. This role owns the design, delivery, and maintenance of custom data pipelines. You will lead scoping calls, gather requirements, and map how a client’s modern data stack connects into our systems. You’ll manage project timelines, set expectations, and act as the primary point of contact from integration design through QA and delivery. You’ll also maintain integrations built through tools like Funnel and Fivetran, and troubleshoot errors.
- You’ll partner with Account teams to understand client business goals and with our Data Intelligence team to ensure integrations are structured to power advanced marketing science, and reporting. This role requires ongoing collaboration across technical and client-facing teams to ensure data pipelines are not only operational, but also actionable for marketing science and strategy.
- The ideal candidate blends strong technical expertise with polished client-facing skills and a project-owner mindset. You are equally comfortable managing a client relationship, digging into a pipeline error, validating a dataset, or explaining integration progress to stakeholders. Above all, you ensure integrations run smoothly, data is trustworthy, and teams across Power Digital can rely on the foundation you’ve built.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for active client data integrations within the nova ecosystem.
- Lead scoping calls with clients to gather requirements and map their modern data stack into Power Digital’s systems.
- Own project timelines and deliverables for custom integrations, ensuring clear communication with both clients and internal teams.
- Partner with Account teams to align integrations with client business goals and reporting needs.
- Collaborate with the Data Intelligence team to structure integrations that power advanced analytics, modeling, and marketing science.
- Build, monitor, and maintain custom data integrations using data share solutions like: SFTP transfer, Snowflake Data Share, and other custom integration methods.
- Build, monitor, and maintain integrations using tools like Funnel and Fivetran.
- Troubleshoot connector issues and coordinate timely resolution to minimize downtime.
- Perform data cleaning, QA, validation, and readbacks to ensure accuracy and reliability of integrated datasets.
- Support data modeling projects using SQL and dbt.
- Maintain documentation and best practices for custom integrations.
- Proactively identify opportunities to improve integration processes, efficiency, and scalability.
Role Requirements
- 3-5+ years of experience in data integration, analytics engineering, or a related role.
- Advanced proficiency in SQL, Python, or other data programming languages.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex data and integration challenges.
- Experience in data modeling and ETL workflows.
- Experience working with modern data stack tools such as Snowflake, dbt, GitHub, Funnel, and Fivetran (or comparable platforms).
- Familiarity with BI and reporting tools such as Looker (Enterprise and Studio) and/or other visualization platforms.
- Proven client-facing communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience collaborating cross-functionally across technical, analytics, and account management teams.
- Familiarity with Python or another data-focused programming language (a plus).
- Prior agency experience or experience managing multiple client stakeholders simultaneously.
- Understanding of marketing and financial KPIs
- Employ AI technologies to enhance and optimize business processes
- Utilize and leverage Power Digital's nova ecosystem as it relates to your department
- Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Onboarding Speed & Completion: >90% of new clients with all required data integrated into nova within the first 30 days of onboarding.
- Connector Uptime & Reliability: >90% uptime of Fivetran/Funnel connections (target ≥ 98%) and average time-to-resolution for connector errors.
- Data Quality & Accuracy: ≥95% of custom integrations that pass QA/readbacks without critical issues.
