We’re looking for an experienced Chrome Extension Developer (Manifest v3) to bring the final version of our product, SnapBack, to life — a cognitive reading assistant designed to help users stay focused and never lose their place while reading online. SnapBack intelligently “remembers” where a reader left off and allows them to drop anchors at the sentence, paragraph, or selection level. The foundation has already been built — including background scripts, popup interface, and highlight logic — and now we’re ready for expert refinement. Your task will be to enhance and finalize the content script logic so SnapBack behaves naturally and consistently across all pages. You’ll help transform the extension from functional to intuitive and production-ready. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys clean, human-centered code and understands how to make browser experiences feel fluid and intelligent rather than mechanical. Key Objectives: Refine and optimize sentence and paragraph detection logic Ensure highlights persist reliably across reloads and dynamic pages Implement multi-anchor support with local persistence Polish highlight visuals (purple brand color, smooth pulse effect) Eliminate console and manifest errors SnapBack is close to completion — we just need the final expert touch to make it truly seamless.
