- What you bring
- Experience supporting or managing Government Affairs or Public Policy initiatives, ideally in the tech industry
- Strong understanding of government processes, policy development, and regulatory landscapes
- Experience working cross-functionally with internal teams and external stakeholders
- Familiarity with multi-national or complex corporate environments
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey complex issues
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Fluent in English (other languages a plus)
- Experience working remotely is not required but considered a plus
- Key responsibilities
- Develop and direct the application of core Government Affairs strategies and procedures in alignment with Remote’s objectives, helping shape global policy strategy and serving as a key advisor on complex policy positions and organizational philosophy.
- Independently manage and coordinate Remote's response to significant and unique regulatory issues, conducting in-depth analysis and developing recommendations with senior leaders
- Provide counsel and policy insight to senior leadership, guiding long-term strategic decisions and regulatory planning.
- Build and maintain formal networks and leverage global relationships with regulators, policymakers, and industry bodies to proactively shape the regulatory environment.
- Act as the recognized internal subject matter expert, providing thought leadership and directing the activities of cross-functional teams (Legal, Compliance, Communications, Product, Operations) on broad organizational projects.
- Exercise advanced independent judgment to select methods, evaluate criteria, and direct the activities of external consultants, advisors, and lobby groups to maximize policy impact.
- Represent Remote in consultations, industry forums, and regulatory discussions, collaborating with senior leadership on high-impact or sensitive matters.
- Define, lead, and oversee the implementation of large-scale, enterprise-wide advocacy campaigns, taking accountability for results that impact the entire function.
- Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of policy frameworks and analytical tools that enhance Remote's approach to regulatory engagement.

We use geo ranges to consider geographic pay differentials as part of our global compensation strategy to remain competitive in various markets while we hiring globally.
- The base salary range for this full-time position is $59,300 to $166,850. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level and location, and our job titles may span more than one career level. The actual base pay for the successful candidate in this role is dependent upon many factors such as location, transferable or job-related skills, work experience, relevant training, business needs, and market demands. The base salary range may be subject to change.
