Title: Fractional HR / HR Director Location: Remote Employment Type: Part-time, 20 hours a week Reports to: CEO Department: HR Pay: $45-60/hr About Get Flooring: Get Flooring is a fast-growing commercial flooring installation company delivering quality, precision, and service across the U.S. We’re building a high-performance, people-first culture where every team member plays a key role in driving operational excellence and client satisfaction. As we continue to expand, we’re looking for an HR Manager who can strengthen our HR foundation and help scale systems and processes across recruiting, compliance, performance, and engagement. Position Summary: The HR Director will serve as a hands-on business partner overseeing all aspects of the employee lifecycle — from hiring and onboarding to compliance, HR systems, and performance management. This role is responsible for managing day-to-day HR operations while leading the implementation of Rippling, our new all-in-one HRIS platform, from setup through launch and optimization. You’ll collaborate closely with leadership to build a compliant, scalable HR infrastructure that supports both our U.S. and international (Pakistan-based) teams. Key Responsibilities 1. HR Systems Implementation & Optimization Lead the end-to-end implementation of Rippling HRIS, including payroll, time-off, Benefits, onboarding, performance, and applicant tracking modules. Configure workflows, data integrations, and employee profiles to ensure system accuracy and efficiency. Partner with Finance and Operations to align payroll, PTO, and compliance within Rippling. Train managers and employees on Rippling functionality and ensure successful adoption across the organization. 2. Employee Lifecycle & HR Operations Manage all HR processes including onboarding, offboarding, personnel records, and data maintenance. Ensure accuracy and compliance across all employee files (U.S. and Pakistan). Administer benefits, PTO, and leave programs. Maintain and continuously improve HR policies, handbooks, and employee communications. 3. Recruiting & Onboarding Partner with hiring managers to recruit top talent across project management, procurement, and field operations. Oversee job postings and applicant flow in Rippling, Indeed, and LinkedIn Recruiter. Ensure smooth onboarding through structured checklists, training plans, and systems setup. 4. Performance & Development Support the rollout of company-wide performance reviews and KPI tracking frameworks. Build and maintain performance data in Rippling to support merit increases and development planning. Coach managers on feedback delivery, goal-setting, and performance management best practices. 5. Compliance & Employee Relations Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations. Maintain accurate documentation for audits, safety programs, and workers’ compensation. Provide guidance on employee relations issues with professionalism and discretion. 6. Culture & Engagement Help design and launch engagement initiatives that strengthen communication, recognition, and team cohesion. Promote Get Flooring’s values and growth-oriented culture across all locations and teams. Qualifications: - 5+ years of progressive HR experience, ideally within construction, trades, or field-based industries. - Proven experience implementing or managing HRIS systems (Rippling preferred) from setup through launch. - Strong knowledge of HR compliance and employment law (Illinois experience preferred). - Excellent project management, organization, and communication skills. - Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-growing environment with a hands-on approach.
