We’re looking for a full-time Full-Stack Engineer to join our small, mission-driven team at Future Quest — a simulation-based career exploration platform for high school students. Our platform combines gamified, web-based simulations with learning science to help students discover future career pathways. Learn more: ■ myfuturequest.com ■ Watch our intro video Who You’ll Work With: You’ll collaborate directly with Khushi and Marla, the co-founders of Future Quest. - Khushi – Stanford Graduate School of Education & UC Berkeley alum, with a background in education entrepreneurship and technology. - Marla – Stanford Graduate School of Education & USC alum, with expertise in learning design and career readiness programs. We’re a small, mission-driven team using technology and design to make career exploration immersive, scalable, and impactful for students worldwide. Your Role Will Include: - Building and maintaining interactive simulations using Next.js (App Router) + React 18 + TypeScript - Creating dashboards and tools for educators and administrators - Designing and integrating backend services with Firebase (Auth, Firestore/RTDB, Storage, Cloud Functions) - Ensuring performance, accessibility, and responsive design standards - Collaborating directly with the founders to align technical builds with learning design goals Required Skills: - 3+ years professional experience in full-stack web development - Strong knowledge of React, Next.js, TypeScript, Tailwind CSS, shadcn/ui - Firebase (Auth, Firestore, Storage, Functions) - Experience building both interactive user experiences and admin dashboards - Strong communication and self-management skills Nice-to-Have: - Data visualization and analytics tools experience - Gamification or edtech background Terms: - Full-time (40 hrs/week) - Long-term contract for the right fit - Fully remote – flexible hours, with at least 3–4 hours/day overlap with California time zone - Rate: To be discussed based on skills and experience To Apply: 1.
