About the team: About the role: Lead the development and execution of trade strategies that drive sustainable growth, brand equity, and customer profitability across key channels for Diageo’s portfolio. Role Description As the Trade Strategy Manager, you will shape the commercial strategy that defines how Diageo wins at the point of purchase. You’ll partner closely with Sales, Marketing, and Finance teams to turn consumer insights and market trends into actionable trade plans. Your work will ensure Diageo’s brands achieve visibility, availability, and performance across retail and on-trade channels, directly impacting the company’s growth and competitiveness. Role Responsibilities: Design and implement trade strategies aligned with brand priorities and commercial objectives. Analyze market dynamics, customer performance, and shopper insights to identify growth opportunities. Define and optimize investment allocation across channels and customers. Partner with Sales and Marketing to ensure executional excellence at the point of purchase. Translate insights into shareable sales initiatives, tools, and guidelines for the field teams. Track performance and recommend adjustments to maximize ROI and effectiveness. Lead cross-functional projects focused on channel development and route-to-market innovation. Experience / skills required: Proven experience in Revenue Growth Management (RGM), commercial strategy, or category management within FMCG or beverage industry. Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with a data-driven decision-making approach. Experience leading cross-functional initiatives and influencing senior stakeholders. Excellent communication and storytelling ability to simplify complex insights into clear actions. Demonstrated leadership, adaptability, and results orientation. Education Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Business, Marketing, Economics, or related field. Advanced degree is a plus but not essential. English: Intermediate or above.
