- Job Description
- Global FCM (Food-Contacted Materials) Manager in the Food-Contacted related business is responsible for driving business growth by identifying and capitalizing on opportunities to provide TIC solutions that align with client needs, industry trends, and sustainability goals. This involves a mix of relationship-building, sales strategy, industry knowledge, and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, in segment of Food-Contacted Article & Material safety/quality in Physical, Chemical, Durability, and Environment Green Initiatives & Sustainability, and potentially may be extended or support to adjacent industries under similar quality/compliance requirements, e.g., packaging and recycled materials used of package in medical devices and cosmetics.
Responsibility
- Drive Growth: Direct and develop profitable and sustainable business.
- Ensure Financial Performance: Ensure FCM activity meets financial objective, define strategic plan for FCM including both greenfield growth initiatives and acquisition.
- Lead Business Development: Support global FCM business development covering but not limited to industries of cookware, tableware, cutlery, and other articles & materials in contact with Food, with necessarily joint efforts with other SBUs of Softlines, Connectivity, & H&N when product features fell in their respective service capability or scope.
- Understand the Market: Conduct comprehensive market research to identify industry trends, competitive landscape, and potential areas for business growth within the FCM related industry across the globe, including (but not limit to) Europe, Asia, EEME, North America and LATAM region, throughout entire ECO system from finished Food-Contacted Articles to Tier 1, 2 and 3 suppliers.
- Build Relationship: Establish and maintain a strong network of clients, suppliers, and industry stakeholders to leverage opportunities and foster strategic partnerships including potential opportunity for healthy Merge & Acquisition.
- Collaborate Across Teams: Partner with internal affiliates / teams, including R&D in new or recycled materials, manufacturing, and logistics, to ensure seamless execution of client projects and exceptional service delivery.
- Build Relationship: Establish and maintain a strong network of clients, suppliers, and industry stakeholders to leverage opportunities and foster strategic partnerships.
- Promote Our Solutions: Develop and governance execution of effective sales / marketing strategies through co-work with affiliates / Hardlines GKAM teams to promote our FCM solutions.
- Create Tailored Proposals: Develop compelling and customized proposals that align with client needs and showcase the value of our FCM solutions.
- Drive Excellence: Drive sustainable business growth by meeting or exceeding revenue targets set by the company's leadership.
- Report on Performance: Provide regular reports and updates to senior management regarding sales performance, market insights, and growth opportunities.
- Qualifications
- Proven track record in business development, sales, or account management, preferably within the chemical industry or a related field.
- Strong understanding of FCM or chemistry related industrial / customers trends, suppliers movement, materials development trends, and sustainability practices.
- Experience in working within a matrix organization.
- Strong strategic thinking, relationship building, and execution skills.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a focus on sustainable growth.
- Excellent knowledge of written and spoken English and any additional European language.
