Description We are seeking a detail-oriented researcher to identify, analyze, and document active U.S. state and local government contracting opportunities, with an initial focus on Houston and Texas agencies. You will manage the entire pre-intake process - from locating opportunities to compiling complete documentation and entering them into our system. Every opportunity must be accurately researched, organized, and uploaded following the established workflow. Responsibilities Research and identify active solicitations on U.S. state and local procurement sites Review scope, eligibility, and submission requirements to confirm relevance. Complete an Opportunity Profile (Excel template) for each solicitation including: • Project title and agency information • Due dates and deadlines • Scope and service summary • NAICS/NIGP codes • Submission or contact details Download all solicitation documents and organize them using the provided folder structure. Upload all opportunity details into our project management tool Track RFIs, Q&A deadlines, and addenda. Provide daily progress updates summarizing completed and pending items. Requirements Strong background in research, documentation, or procurement. Familiarity with U.S. government solicitation formats (RFP, RFQ, IFB, Addendum, etc.). Excellent written English and attention to detail. Consistent weekday availability and reliable communication. Ability to deliver 15–20 complete opportunities per week. Ideal Candidate Has worked in market research, procurement, or data coordination roles. Understands U.S. public-sector contracting processes. Organized, proactive, and able to work independently.
