Note to applicants
- This is a full time role. We hire globally and welcome candidates from different countries and backgrounds. Regardless of location, this role requires your regular working hours to substantially overlap with 9:00 am to 5:00 pm Pacific Time (Valencia, California), Monday through Friday.
- About the role
- As a Graphic Designer on the Marketing team, you will bring the Sunco brand to life across every touchpoint. You will create digital assets for paid and organic social, display and banner ads, paid social ads, storefront, marketplace, and other marketing channels. You will help evolve and protect our visual identity through thoughtful logo work, style guide development, and consistent design systems.
- You will sit on the design team, report to the Lead Designer, and collaborate closely with marketing, ecommerce, and marketplace teams. A key part of your role will be developing high performing PDP creative assets for our storefronts on Amazon and Shopify that clearly communicate product benefits and drive conversion. You will primarily work in digital but will also support print projects, including but not limited to trade show mechanicals, swag, and printed promotional material.
- What you'll do
- Design landing page assets, and other campaign collateral with strong attention to hierarchy and UX best practices.
- Develop and maintain high quality PDP creative for Sunco storefronts on Amazon and Shopify, including product imagery, infographics, comparison charts, and benefit driven visuals.
- Work with the Lead Designer, marketplace, and ecommerce teams to ensure PDP assets are optimized for clarity, scannability, and conversion.
- Adapt designs for different marketplaces and placements while staying true to the core brand.
- Create social content for platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, and others as needed.
- Design digital assets for paid social, display ads, banner ads, retargeting, and other performance marketing campaigns.
- Help define and evolve the Sunco visual identity across channels and formats.
- Assist with the development of iconography, typography and style guide modifications for creative assets, ensuring all creative assets are aligned to brand standards and tell a consistent visual story.
- Occasionally Design and build mechanicals for swag, event graphics, signage, and other print promotional materials.
- Work closely with the Lead Designer to prioritize requests, manage timelines, and maintain a healthy workflow.
- Collaborate with copywriters, marketers, and product teams to understand project goals and translate them into effective visual solutions.
- Organize design files, maintain libraries, and follow naming and version control practices that support a growing team.
- Take and apply feedback constructively while advocating for best practices in design and user experience.
- Work closely with the Lead Designer to prioritize requests, manage timelines, and maintain a healthy workflow.

- Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, visual communication, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a graphic designer, brand designer, or marketing designer with a portfolio that highlights both brand identity work and digital marketing assets.
- Demonstrated expertise in logo design and visual identity development, including style guide creation and system thinking.
- Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Adobe XDa plus) and familiarity with Figma (we use this for design boards and feedback).
- Experience designing for digital marketing channels, including social, email, web, and paid media, with an understanding of performance and UX considerations.
- Experience preparing print ready files and working with vendors for print materials, signage, and promotional items.
- Strong understanding of layout, typography, color theory, and visual hierarchy
- Familiarity with basic UX and UI best practices for web and mobile and an ability to design assets that support a clean, user-friendly experience.
- Experience designing PDP assets or ecommerce creative for platforms such as Amazon and Shopify is a strong plus.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to interpret briefs, ask clarifying questions, and present your work.
- High attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast moving environment.

- Availability to work between 9 AM to 5 PM Pacific Time

- Job Type: Independent contractor, Full-time and fixed hours (requiring Pacific Time overlap), starting at $10 to $15 per hour . Depending on location and experience.
