- We’re helping our client, Formulation Factory, a fast-growing DTC supplements brand, find a Head of Amazon Advertising to own and scale their largest revenue channel.
- In this role, you will have end-to-end ownership of Amazon advertising strategy and execution—optimizing performance, profitability, and scale across Sponsored Ads, DSP, and advanced audience targeting. You’ll play a critical role in driving efficient growth toward $25M+ ARR by EOY 2026, while protecting margins and ensuring compliance in a regulated category.
- Responsibilities
- Own Amazon PPC strategy and execution across all placements: Sponsored Products, Sponsored Brands, Sponsored Display, SBV, SDV, SPV, and emerging formats
- Manage and optimize Amazon DSP campaigns, including retargeting, lookalike audiences, and cross-device strategies using AMC insights
- Analyze performance metrics (ROAS, ACOS, TACoS, CTR, CVR, impression share, new-to-brand) and drive continuous testing and optimization
- Leverage third-party tools (Scale Insights, Helium10, Hector, Xnurta, Perpetua, etc.) for keyword research, bid automation, competitive intelligence, and forecasting
- Collaborate cross-functionally with creative, Shopify/CRM, ops, finance, and leadership to align Amazon strategy with broader demand and inventory goals
- Ensure compliance with Amazon policies, FTC/FDA guidelines, and brand standards; build SOPs and scalable systems as spend grows
- Manage and scale high monthly ad spend (targeting $500k+/month) with clear accountability for profitability and performance
- Must-Have
- 5+ years of hands-on Amazon advertising experience for high-volume DTC brands ($10M+ ARR preferred)
- Deep expertise across all Amazon ad placements, Amazon DSP, and Amazon Marketing Cloud (AMC)
- Proven experience managing $500k+/month+ in Amazon ad spend with strong ROAS and margin control
- Strong analytical skills: dashboards, performance analysis, A/B testing, and incrementality measurement
- Experience using third-party Amazon tools such as Scale Insights, Helium10, Hector, Xnurta, Perpetua, or similar
- Comfortable operating in fast-paced, competitive, and regulated environments with a bias toward action
- Nice-to-Have
- Experience in supplements, health, wellness, or other regulated categories
- Familiarity with Seller Central vs. Vendor Central nuances
- Experience providing feedback on video ad creatives (SBV, SDV, SPV)
- Experience translating Amazon insights into broader DTC or cross-channel growth strategies
