• Who We Are Looking For ✏️
• Rocket.Chat is seeking a strategic, high-impact product leader to own the end-to-end product management function for our secure communication and collaboration platform. This role will guide our product vision, drive execution across multiple product lines, and ensure tight alignment between customer value, commercial strategy, and engineering execution. You will provide leadership to a cross-functional team of Product Managers and Product Designers. This is a pivotal role shaping Rocket.Chat’s future as the industry leader in secure, decentralized collaboration.
• Mandatory Hard Skills 🎯
• 8+ years of product management experience, with 3+ years leading PMs and/or Designers;
• Proven experience operating at senior product leadership levels (Head of Product, Lead PM, Director of Product, etc.);
• Strong capability to bridge business objectives and technical execution;
• Experience in on-premises deployed software, open-source platforms, developer tooling, collaboration products, or high-security/regulated environments;
• Demonstrated success in building and scaling product teams and processes;
• Exceptional communication and storytelling abilities, comfortable operating at the executive level and communicating directly with customers;
• High accountability, strategic clarity, strong prioritization instincts, and a bias toward action;
• Passion for open-source culture, secure communication, and empowering global teams.

• Experience with enterprise security, self-hosted deployments, or government-grade compliance;
• Experience scaling product for global customer bases across multiple regions (NORAM, EMEA, LATAM, APAC).

• What You'll Do 🖥️
• Product Leadership & Strategy
• Work with company leaders to define and communicate a cohesive product strategy that advances Rocket.Chat’s security-first mission and commercial growth objectives;
• Translate company strategy into product roadmaps, working jointly with Engineering and GTM leadership;
• Drive prioritization aligned with market opportunity, customer needs, and technical feasibility;
• Ensure the product portfolio supports 40%+ year-over-year growth, pricing discipline, and strong regional GTM performance;
• Cross-Functional Alignment
• Collaborate closely with Engineering (CTO), Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, and Support to ensure product consistency across the lifecycle;
• Serve as the connective tissue between technical teams and the commercial organization, ensuring transparency, rapid learning, and data-driven decision-making;
• Represent Product in executive discussions on roadmap tradeoffs, customer escalations, pricing strategy, and growth initiatives.
• Team Leadership
• Directly lead and develop the Product Management and Product Design teams;
• Establish a high-performance culture emphasizing ownership, customer-centric thinking, and strong execution discipline;
• Implement product processes and rituals that improve velocity, quality, and cross-team clarity (e.g., quarterly planning, product reviews, discovery cycles).
• Product Execution & Delivery
• Oversee delivery of customer-facing features, platform capabilities, and strategic initiatives (e.g., secure collaboration features, on-premise deployments, AI integrations);
• Ensure product requirements are clear, validated, and tied to measurable outcomes;
• Champion UX excellence and design consistency across Rocket.Chat’s suite of products;
• Partner with Engineering and PMO leadership to remove blockers and maintain predictable delivery.
• Customer & Market Insight
• Maintain a deep understanding of customer needs across regulated industries (government, defense, healthcare, finance);
• Lead competitive analysis and emerging trends to inform long-term product strategy (security, decentralization, AI, data sovereignty);
• Engage with customers, partners, and community contributors to validate assumptions and guide roadmap choices.
• Metrics & Accountability
• Define key product metrics and ensure the team delivers against business goals;
• Maintain product-level reporting on adoption, usage, churn signals, and customer satisfaction;
• Drive a culture of evidence-based iteration grounded in user data, feedback, and analytics.
