  • Accountabilities

As a Manual QA Engineer, you will

  • Create comprehensive and well-structured test plans, test cases, and reports for web and mobile applications.
  • Perform manual testing across a variety of devices, simulators, emulators, and security contexts, including VPN/proxy simulations and rooted/jailbroken environments.
  • Validate device intelligence, security mechanisms, and fraud detection features.
  • Track and document defects, ensuring thorough reporting and clear communication with development teams.
  • Implement and maintain test cases in Testmo or similar test management tools.
  • Use tools such as Charles Proxy, ADB, Xcode, and Crashlytics to support exploratory testing, debugging, and log analysis.
  • Promote a culture of quality throughout the organization, serving as a quality champion.
  • Contribute to mobile automation testing over time using tools like Appium (WebdriverIO, Node.js).

The ideal candidate will have

  • 4+ years of manual QA experience, with a focus on mobile and web applications.
  • Strong ability to review product requirements and translate them into effective test plans and test cases.
  • Solid understanding of device intelligence, security testing, and threat vectors such as jailbreak, VPN, emulator detection, and location spoofing.
  • Familiarity with QA and debugging tools such as Burp Suite, Charles Proxy, ADB, and Xcode Instruments.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and a security-first mindset.
  • Experience with CI/CD processes and agile environments.
  • Exposure to mobile automation frameworks such as Appium, WebdriverIO, Node.js, or XCUITest, or strong willingness to learn.
  • Knowledge of JavaScript or TypeScript is a plus.
  • Experience testing API or headless products is a plus.
  • Software development experience is advantageous.
