The Agriculture & Food pricing team is a global team responsible for key pricing benchmarks across the world covering markets such as Grains, Oilseeds, Animal Feed and more. What’s In It For You Opportunities to represent S&P Global Energy at industry events, face-to-face meetings, presenting at conferences, webinars and podcasts to further develop S&P Global as a significant presence in the Agriculture & Food markets. The successful candidate would contribute to a fast paced, and dynamic team based in Sao Paulo, Brazil that works across the Agriculture & Food markets. Assist in identifying, developing, and executing new price assessment opportunities across the Agriculture & Food markets. Responsibilities and Impact: This is an exciting opportunity to help drive S&P Global Energy's Agriculture & Food price assessments across the AMERICAS region. The Associate Editor will be responsible for market coverage and driving our existing price assessments forward. Leading market coverage on Agriculture & Food markets by reporting on daily physical trade activity including bids, offers and other relevant information. Building and managing our database of contacts, seek potential new sources to contribute to our assessment process and developing a close business relationship with market participants. Identifying opportunities to develop and refine methodology as well as helping launch new price assessments. Writing daily and weekly commentaries and daily assessment rationale explaining the trends driving prices. Creating news stories and multi-media coverage. Work closely with relevant units across the organization such as commercial, analytics and news. What We’re Looking For: Basic Required Qualifications: Degree in Agronomics, Sciences, Journalism, Economics, Finance, Business or similar. Experience of Agriculture & Food markets. Strong numeracy skills and the ability to apply basic math functions in Excel. Strong communication skills that demonstrate good listening, clear writing style, and strong verbal skills. The ability to communicate across a wide range of groups and personalities internally and externally. Fluent in English and Spanish with excellent English writing skills and fluent in Portuguese. Entrepreneurial and self-starter mindset with effective problem-solving skills. An ability to multitask and prioritize under tight deadlines. A solid understanding of economics and commodities markets fundamentals. Additional language skills would be an advantage. Experience in price reporting or market reporting is a benefit.
