Mid-Level Business Analyst Job Category: Information Technology Time Type: Full time Minimum Clearance Required to Start: None Employee Type: Regular Percentage of Travel Required: Up to 10% Type of Travel: Continental US * * * The Opportunity: We are seeking a skilled and experienced mid-level Business Analyst to join our Agile Scrum team supporting the Department of Defense's Procurement Integrated Enterprise Environment (PIEE). The ideal candidate will work with minimal to moderate supervision, effectively translate Product Owner requests into actionable features and user stories, demonstrate completed functionality to the Product Owner, and participate in other agile ceremonies. Responsibilities: Evaluate and reconcile Product Owner requests into actionable features and user stories for PIEE enhancements. Identify, clarify, and document requirements from government Product Owner materials and stakeholder input. Deconflict and prioritize feature requirements, distinguishing between "must-haves" and "nice-to-haves." Maintain and manage the Product Owner backlog. Work closely with Product Owners to prioritize features and stories throughout Program Increments and iterations. Serve as a liaison between technical and functional stakeholders, effectively communicating requirements to multi -functional teams of developers, testers, and training specialists. Contribute effectively to an Agile Scrum team following SAFe practices. Understand and document clear and measurable acceptance criteria for features and user stories. Qualifications: Required: Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience as a Business Analyst with a minimum of 5 years of experience in Soft ware Business Analysis, preferably in government or defense-related projects. Strong analytical skills with the ability to understand and digest complex requirements, identifying potential impacts across various DoD-related contracting and logistical modules. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint) and experience with Agile tools such as JIRA and Confluence. Demonstrated experience in customer relations and producing accurate, detailed documentation. Proven ability to work effectively in a high-intensity, fast-paced Agile environment. Experience in translating complex business requirements into clear, concise user stories and acceptance criteria. Strong prioritization and time management skills. US citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain required security clearances. Desired: Familiarity with DoD contracting, purchase/acquisition, supply/logistics, and/or payment processing. Experience with wireframing tools such as Mockflow, Figma or similar. Certification in Agile methodologies (e.g., SAFe Scrum Master, Product Owner). Previous experience working on projects related to enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems. Experience with data analysis to extract insights by querying databases.
