- Network Engineer
- Ebury São Paulo - Hybrid: 4 days in the office, 1 day working from home
- As a Network Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring our platform’s network infrastructure meets the evolving needs of our customers and aligns with Ebury’s business objectives. You will collaborate closely with our platform engineering teams to design, implement, and maintain robust network solutions that support our services’ performance, scalability, and security.

What you will do
- Collaborate with Platform Engineering to ensure high availability and reliability of our network and platform infrastructure.
- Design and implement new systems and services that comply with our reliability and scalability standards.
- Develop and maintain monitoring protocols, incident management, and troubleshooting procedures for network infrastructure and applications.
- Participate in on-call rotations, responding to high-severity incidents to maintain system availability.
- Stay current with emerging technologies, tools, and practices in Networking and Infrastructure.
- Use observability tools to assess system performance and health, implementing necessary improvements.
- Work alongside engineering teams to design a scalable and reliable platform.
- Design and automate processes and tools to enhance efficiency and minimise downtime.
What we expect from you
- Experience: Multi-vendor network devices as Cisco, Meraki and Fortinet; GCP and AWS Cloud environment knowledge, with focus on network.
- ○ Multi-cloud and on premises connections
- ○ VPNs solutions: Google BeyondCorp and VPN -SSL
- Network: Minimal knowledge level should be CCNA or equivalent. CCNP level will be a plus.
- ○ Routing Protocols: Static Routes, OSPF and BGP and Redistribution
- with methods to prevent loops.
- ○ Filters Technologies: Access-list, Prefix-List, Route-Maps
- Security: Experience with GCP, AWS firewall rules and Fortigate devices.
- Design: Experience with Network documentation standards as High-Level, Low-Level, Network Implementation/Migration Plan and Change Request.
- Ability to work with cross-functional teams to conceptualize and implement network architecture for projects of simple to medium complexity, with a focus on automation and efficiency. Agile methodology knowledge is desirable.
- Ability to collaborate with the security team to implement security tools, policies, and procedures, while staying informed about network changes.
- Written and verbal communication skills in English and a commitment to upholding Ebury's values.
- Proven ability to systematically identify and resolve root causes of issues.
- Ability to act as an escalation point for network-related issues and coordinate with relevant parties to resolve them.
- Occasional travel to Ebury locations may be required.
Nice to have
- Experience in the FinTech industry.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.
- Experience with DevOps tools and DevSecOps practices to ensure security is embedded throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Skilled in Shell Scripting or Python Software Development.
- Knowledge of Spanish.
