Location: São josé dos campos, SP Travel %: 10% What you will do The Packaging PL Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and overseeing validation of package components and packaging processes, evaluating new package concepts and technologies, leading process improvement or task teams, and partnering with the creative design group to deliver packaging components in a timely manner for research and development and packaging system projects: Responsible for the development of LATAM Essential Health (EH) packaging, aligned to the regional and global segment strategies for superior consumer experience. Responsible for packaging execution excellence of projects pipeline applying the Kenvue Packaging Development Process to deliver Right First Time approach in the ways of working. Accountable for primary and secondary packaging component specification robustness, accuracy and completeness. Delivers projects with quality; compliance with company requirement; compiles and analyses data, identifies causes, draws conclusions, generates reports. Demonstrates ability to deal with complexity and prioritize multiple rapidly changing priorities to ensure flawless execution. Partners closely with Global Packaging teams of innovation, sustainability, experience, value realisation and supplier excellence to support platform development and supplier selection. Partners closely with Global Packaging Sustainability team in embedding packaging sustainability playbook and guidelines into development of packaging specifications that delivers Kenvue’s sustainability commitments. Partners with the cross-functional team to lead new package development based on consumer insights, delivering the targeted consumer benefit and key claims, while meeting cost targets. Brings an external perspective by identifying, evaluating and championing technical advancements, design trends and innovations in packaging. Stay aware of supplier and competitor new developments, and highlight to appropriate management as needed. What we are looking for Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Packaging Engineering or related field +2 years of experience in packaging design and development Strong knowledge of packaging materials, manufacturing processes, and testing methods Familiarity with Package Test methods is required Excellent project management and communication skills Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams University/Bachelors Degree or Equivalent in Packaging Science & Technology Knowledge of FDA, cGMPs and CPSC regulations is highly desired Technical writing skills are required Desired Qualifications Solid knowledge of packaging technologies in plastic molding, flexible film and fiber-based packaging…etc. Proficient in English to manage projects across countries. Strong focus on sustainability and eCommerce (Omnichannel) packaging is required. Proficient in CAD, Packaging Development, material application, conversion technologies, DfM principles, consumer use analysis. Data savvy – ability to use data, insights & analytics to support perspectives. Strong experimental skills and problem-solving skills. Ability to communicate across the organization, including succinctly communicating technical details to non-technical stakeholders and business partners. Ability to influence and motivate cross-functional partners to develop & implement programs. Comfortable in making presentations, has strong communication skills. Business acumen – understand trends, technology and information impacting the business and organization; knows how the business and competition works.
