We’re NOVA, a boutique digital marketing agency based in Brazil, working with clients in the US, Europe and LATAM. We handle social media, paid ads, SEO and websites for service businesses, e-commerce brands and hospitality (villas, hotels, retreats). We’re looking for a part-time SDR / Proposals Specialist to run our outbound on Upwork: finding the right jobs, writing tailored proposals, handling the first messages, and booking qualified calls for our founder. You will not be doing delivery (no design, ads or copy execution). Your focus is: pipeline, conversations, booked calls. ☄️ WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING ☄️ — DAILY JOB HUNTING ON UPWORK — - Scan new posts and shortlist only those that fit our services, budget and niches. - Use clear filters and follow our qualification rules (we will train you). — WRITING TAILORED PROPOSALS — - Send around 20 high-quality, personalized proposals per day using our framework. - No copy-paste blasts. Every first line must reference the specific job/client. - Attach the right portfolio links depending on the service (social, ads, SEO, web). — HANDLING FIRST RESPONSES — - Reply to new messages quickly and professionally in fluent English. - Ask 1–2 qualifying questions when needed (budget, timeline, goals). - Share more details about NOVA when requested, using our standard answers. — BOOKING CALLS AND HANDING OFF TO OUR FOUNDER — - When a lead is qualified, introduce our founder in the Upwork chat. (for example: “I’m looping in David, our founder, who will take it from here.”). - Stay in the chat thread to support with details if needed. — KEEPING THINGS ORGANIZED — - Log qualified leads in a simple tracker (ClickUp): invited jobs, very hot opportunities, and any client who replies to a proposal. - Track: job link, cover letter date, reply yes/no, call booked, proposal sent, status, etc. - Follow a simple follow-up schedule. We will also train you on when we consider it worth “boosting” a proposal vs not. You will not be spending connects randomly. ☄️ WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR ☄️ - Excellent written English: your writing must sound natural, clear and confident (no “template VA” vibe). - Upwork experience: you have used Upwork before (as a freelancer or for an agency) and understand how clients think, what a good job post looks like, and how to avoid low-quality or scammy posts. - Basic understanding of digital marketing services: you do not need to be a media buyer, but you should know the basics of social media management, Meta / Google ads, email marketing, SEO and websites / landing pages. - Process and accountability: you are comfortable working from checklists and daily routines, you like tracking numbers (proposals sent, replies, calls booked), and you are reliable. If you commit to 2–3 hours per day, you show up. - Preferred time zones: Americas or Europe time zones are preferred for overlap with Brazil (GMT-3). Strong candidates from other regions (for example Asia / Philippines) are welcome, as long as you can overlap at least a bit with our working hours. ☄️ HOW WE’LL WORK TOGETHER ☄️ - This is a part-time, ongoing role starting with around 10–15 hours per week. - You will work inside our agency Upwork structure: clients, contracts and reviews stay with the agency / founder, and you act as our front-line SDR and proposals specialist. — WE WILL START WITH — - A short onboarding (frameworks, templates, examples). - A paid test period where we track proposal quality and replies. - If we are both happy after the test, this becomes a long-term collaboration. Compensation will be hourly plus possible performance-based bonuses (for new contracts closed). We will discuss exact numbers based on your experience. ☄️ HOW TO APPLY ☄️ - Please answer all the questions from the job post in your application. - Write a short custom proposal (maximum 8–10 sentences) to a small e-commerce brand selling natural supplements in the US that needs help with social media and ads to increase sales. Imagine you are writing on behalf of NOVA. Include the word “pineapple” once, in a way that still makes sense. - Briefly describe your experience working with Upwork and/or marketing agencies. - If you read everything carefully and feel this is a fit, start your application with the word focus so we know you pay attention to details. Looking forward to your application! David B.
