This role strategically manages indirect purchasing categories with emphasis on contracting services for events, trade shows, and conferences, while overseeing office-related facilities contracts. The position involves conducting complex negotiations, identifying cost optimization opportunities, and developing strong supplier partnerships. The manager will implement sustainable procurement practices, ensure compliance with ESG principles, and drive continuous improvement through data-driven analysis. - Reporting to the COO LatAm, this role leads strategic procurement for indirect categories and facilities management, focusing on operational excellence, cost optimization, and sustainability. The position requires expertise in supplier relationship management across diverse categories, from multinational corporations to small businesses. The ideal candidate will drive cross-functional collaboration, ensure compliance with ESG principles, and deliver innovative solutions while managing multiple projects in a fast-paced events industry environment. Advanced negotiation skills and data-driven decision-making are essential to achieve business objectives and support organizational growth.
- Main duties and responsibilities
- >PROCUREMENT & FACILITIES
- Develop and execute purchasing strategies for assigned categories, focusing on operational efficiency, service quality, cost optimization, sustainability targets, and delivery excellence
- Prepare and manage procurement budgets aligned with financial goals
- Monitor key performance indicators to ensure adherence to established goals and alignment with corporate guidelines
- Track and report on savings and procurement performance metrics
- Actively manage and continuously develop the supplier base through contractual and commercial negotiations involving deadlines, supply conditions, service levels, and innovation opportunities
- Identify and qualify new suppliers to strengthen competitiveness and diversity in the supply base, with focus on cost efficiency, sustainability, and service excellence
- Ensure company-wide process compliance (including supplier selection, RFQ/RFP, negotiation, PO, contract, renewal, development, and issue resolution)
- Maintain compliance with internal policies, legal requirements, and applicable ESG principles
- Communicate purchasing policies effectively to vendors and internal stakeholders
- Partner with Accounting and Finance to support month-end close processes and improve expense accounting
- Champion sustainable sourcing practices and collaborate with suppliers to promote environmentally friendly materials and processes
- Maintain direct interface with areas such as Commercial, Operations, Finance, IT, HR, Marketing, Content, and other internal teams, ensuring steady results within budgetary limits

- Qualifications
- QUALIFICATIONS
- Complete Higher Education in Administration, Engineering, Economics, Logistics, or related areas
- Post-graduation in Supplier Development, Purchasing Management and/or CSCP (or equivalent) certifications will be an advantage
- Previous experience in indirect purchasing in the events sector and in MRO categories, facilities products, construction, and others
- Demonstrated knowledge of procurement processes, Supplier Relationship Management, and Strategic Sourcing techniques
- Experience in negotiating multiple types of contracts, from large contracts to umbrella agreements to spot deals
- Experience in Supplier Qualification and Supplier Development, working in quality, innovation, and long-term improvement plans
- Results-oriented mindset with strong accountability focus, emphasis on collaborative problem-solving
TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE
- Advanced Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams)
- Market BSMs (Coupa or similar is a plus)
- Knowledge in contract management and cost reduction methodologies
- Knowledge in market analysis, supplier benchmarking, and procurement workflows
- Quality Control and Development, Sustainability for Suppliers, Partnership and Alliances techniques
- Strong negotiation and supplier management capabilities
- Budget management and financial analysis expertise
- Cross-functional collaboration and communication skills
- Process improvement and change management experience
- Knowledge of sustainability principles and ESG requirements
