  • Product Manager - Platform Engineering
  • Ebury São Paulo Office - Hybrid: 4 days in the office, 1 day working from home per week
  • We are seeking an experienced Product Manager (PM) to join our Platform Engineering team. This role will specifically focus on the platform capabilities running on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • You will be responsible for independently owning a set of platform capabilities and features, collaborating to define the vision and strategy, and translating tactical goals into functional roadmaps for your area. Your primary goal is to accelerate software development for internal customers by focusing on the platform's scalability, automation, and observability within the GCP environment
  • What you’ll do
  • Platform Vision and Strategy (GCP Focus)
  • Collaborate for the definition and maintenance of the long-term vision and strategy for the engineering platform within your product area, specifically as it relates to Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services and architecture.
  • Act as the voice of the Product Engineering teams (internal customers) within your scope, understanding their pain points and GCP-related infrastructure/tooling requirements.
  • Anticipate risks associated with your product area or feature set.
  • Backlog and Roadmap Management
  • Translates tactical goals into functional roadmaps.
  • Manage a backlog of the product area. Create, refine, and prioritise effectively based on feasibility and business impact.
  • Manage the Platform Roadmap for your features, balancing demand for new features, GCP performance/cost improvements, security fixes, and technical debt.
  • Develop clear and concise User Stories (or Platform Capabilities) and Acceptance Criteria.
  • Execution & Agile Ceremonies
  • Lead and actively participate in all Agile Ceremonies (e.g., Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Sprint Review, Retrospective).
  • Delivers on-time feature releases.
  • Accept or reject the sprint work results to ensure deliveries meet the Acceptance Criteria and the Definition of Done (DoD).
  • Identifies and removes blockers with minimal guidance
  • What you’ll need

To excel in this role, candidates should possess

Experience

  • 3+ years of professional experience as a Product Manager or in a similar product-focused role, demonstrating the ability to independently manage a specific product area.
  • Hands-on technological experience (e.g., previous roles as a Platform or Software Engineer).
  • Practical experience or strong knowledge of Cloud Computing services and products, with a preference for Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • Experience in a highly regulated industry (e.g., FinTech, Finance, Healthcare), coupled with a deep understanding of compliance frameworks and security requirements.
  • Language: Fluency in both English and Portuguese (written and spoken) is mandatory for daily communication and reporting with global leadership and stakeholders
  • Agility: Extensive knowledge and practical experience with Agile Ceremonies and Scrum principles.
  • Tools: Proficiency in using and administering tasks within Atlassian Jira, including backlog refinement, story creation, and sprint management
