  • Job Description
  • Lead and harmonize quality and food safety strategies across multiple facilities within the North Latam region. Ensures compliance with regulatory standards, drives continuous improvement, and fosters a culture of quality excellence aligned with corporate objectives.

Main Responsibilities

  • Strategy & Governance
  • - Deploy global Quality & Food Safety strategy regionally and ensure compliance with standards and regulations.
  • - Adapt and deploy the global Quality & Food Safety strategy within the region & businesses.
  • - Ensure compliance with both global standards and local regulations.
  • - Represent Quality & Food Safety in the Regional Leadership Team.
  • Quality & Food Safety Management
  • - Lead QMS/FSMS implementation, regional audits, and monitor regional quality KPIs and supplier quality assurance.
  • - Ensure effective deployment of QMS and FSMS (HACCP, ISO standards, etc.)
  • - Lead regional audits (internal, external, customer, regulatory).
  • - Monitor regional KPIs: consumer complaints, audit scores, defect rates, recalls.
  • - Ensure supplier quality assurance within the region.
  • Operational Execution
  • - Drive continuous improvement, digital QA tool rollout, and regional crisis management readiness.
  • - Drive continuous improvement initiatives across plants and supply chains.
  • - Roll out digital quality tools (mass balance real-time monitoring, traceability dashboards, AI-powered root cause analysis) in line with global programs.
  • - Coordinate crisis management and recall readiness at the regional level.
  • Leadership & People Development
  • - Manage and coach Country / Site Quality Managers, build talent pipeline within regional QFS teams, and foster a culture of food safety ownership.
  • - Manage and coach Country / Site Quality Managers.
  • - Build talent pipeline and succession planning within regional QFS teams.
  • - Foster a culture of food safety ownership at every level of the organization.
  • Stakeholder Engagement
  • - Collaborate with Processing, SHE, R&D (when applicable) , and different Commercial platform teams (G&O/Coffee).
  • - Liaise with regulators, certification bodies, and key customers in the region.
  • - Escalate risks, incidents, and best practices to the Global Head.
  • Cultural Transformation, Customer Centricity & Digitalization
  • - Champion a culture of quality and food safety that is customer-centric and innovation-driven.
  • - Lead cultural transformation initiatives to embed quality ownership and proactive risk management across all levels.
  • - Promote customer-centric thinking by integrating customer feedback into quality improvement processes.
  • - Drive digital transformation by implementing smart quality systems, predictive analytics, and real-time monitoring tools.
  • - Foster cross-functional collaboration to align quality goals with business strategy and customer expectations.
  • Qualifications
  • Proven experience in leading Quality and Food Safety strategies across multiple facilities or regions.
  • Strong background in regulatory compliance and audits (internal, external, customer, and regulatory).
  • Experience managing supplier quality assurance and monitoring KPIs (complaints, audit scores, defect rates, recalls).
  • Demonstrated success in driving continuous improvement and implementing digital quality tools.
  • Additional Information
  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Engineering, Chemistry, or related field.
  • Advanced knowledge of Quality Management Systems (QMS) and Food Safety Management Systems (FSMS), including HACCP and ISO standards.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 22000, HACCP) are a strong plus.
  • Advanced English (mandatory).
