• About the Client
• The oncology-focused health informatics solutions company aims to help patients access the best treatments by leveraging clinical data to accelerate the discovery and delivery of personalized therapies. Their approach transforms cancer care by applying genome analysis of patient-derived tumor specimens and translating novel molecular findings with clinical insights to actualize precision oncology therapeutics and diagnostics.
• What You’ll Do (permanent)
• Engineer, design, and estimate solutions for new feature requests in collaboration with the product team.
• Build and maintain scalable data pipelines using distributed, large-scale data processing engines.
• Develop and optimize REST APIs for integration with third-party systems.
• Implement solutions leveraging Azure cloud services (data analytics, visualization, IAC).
• Set up and maintain CI/CD pipelines with Azure DevOps.
• Review pull requests from colleagues to ensure high-quality, maintainable, and secure code.
• Write unit, integration, and automated tests to ensure reliability of APIs and pipelines.
• Diagnose and resolve bugs and performance bottlenecks in applications and data processes.
• Stay up to date with evolving cloud and data technologies, proposing improvements to the tech stack.
• What You Bring (permanent)
• 6+ years of professional experience as a Python Developer.
• Strong expertise in Python, SQL, and Azure (preferably with data analytics or visualization solutions).
• Solid experience in developing and maintaining REST APIs.
• Competency in web-based development and cloud-native solutions.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented and functional programming methodologies
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps.
• Proficiency in modern software development practices: DevOps/GitOps, automated testing, and Infrastructure as Code (Azure preferred).
• Background in designing and delivering large-scale, distributed data processing pipelines.
• Skills in reviewing pull requests and mentoring team members to improve technical capability.
• Knowledge of JSON, secure coding practices, and modern design patterns.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Nice to have
• Experience with Docker for containerization and deployment.
• Familiarity with Linux environments for development and operations.
• Knowledge of C# for cross-technology collaboration and legacy system support.
