- Senior Events Marketing Manager, EMEA
- We're looking for a Senior Events Marketing Manager, EMEA with a strong background in the B2B tech space to join our EMEA team. You'll be the creative force behind our event strategy, managing the co-design, orchestration and the delivery of high-impact workshops for technical audiences across the region. Additionally you’ll be managing the execution of selected large-scale, marquee events with a passion for creating innovative, engaging, and memorable event experiences. You'll work closely with product marketing, solution engineering, and sales teams to create compelling experiences that generate pipeline, build brand awareness, and drive customer loyalty.
- Responsibilities
- Strategize and Design: Be part of the team working on conceptualization and development of a global workshop program tailored to technical audiences. This includes defining content, format, and key success metrics.
- Program Management: Act as the primary driver for our workshop initiatives in the EMEA region, overseeing all aspects from speaker recruitment and content development to logistical planning and post-event follow-up.
- Large-Scale Event Execution: Manage and execute a small portfolio of significant third-party and owned events across EMEA, including major conferences and roadshows.
- Community Support: Support Engineering with dedicated field marketing activities to host events for the Postgres Community.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure event content and messaging are aligned with business objectives, product launches, and sales goals.
- Budget and Vendor Management: Effectively manage event budgets, negotiate contracts, and build strong relationships with vendors and partners.
- Performance Analysis: Measure and report on the effectiveness of all events and workshops, using data to inform future strategies and demonstrate ROI.
- Market Insight: Stay current on event marketing trends and competitor activities within the EMEA B2B tech landscape.
- Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in business or marketing.
- 5-10 years of events marketing within a B2B technology environment, preferably within Data and Saas businesses or technology organizations (distribution or reseller environments will be considered).
- A proven track record of designing and executing events for a technical audience and a foundational understanding of technical concepts is a must.
- Manage and execute a portfolio of significant large-scale third-party and owned events across EMEA, including major conferences and roadshows.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure event content and messaging are aligned with business objectives, product launches, and sales goals.
- Effectively manage event budgets, negotiate contracts, and build strong relationships with vendors and partners.
- Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.
- Measure and report on the effectiveness of all events and workshops, using data to inform future strategies and demonstrate ROI.
- Stay current on event marketing trends and competitor activities within the EMEA B2B tech landscape, including cultural nuances and key regional event calendars.
- Willing to travel to attend events and support the team (up to 40% travel during extensive event times, especially in the spring and fall).
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced high-growth environment with a positive approach where no task is too big or small.
- A strategic critical thinker who is analytical and data-driven.
- Must be fluent in English; strong working proficiency in another European language is an advantage.
