Job Description Summary: The Senior Finance Manager is responsible for leading the financial planning and analysis function, overseeing the development and execution of strategic plans aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and financial profitability. This role manages and supervises teams involved in accounting, budgeting, and tax operations for the subsidiary and its related legal entities. The manager ensures the accurate and timely preparation and submission of financial reports in compliance with internal standards and external regulatory requirements. Additionally, this position oversees the implementation and optimization of financial systems and processes. What you will do: - Lead and supervise the finance team responsible for accounting, budgeting, tax, treasury ensuring alignment with corporate and local requirements. - Ensure accurate financial records and maintain books in compliance with US GAAP and local regulations, including timely submission of internal and external reports. - Coordinate financial planning activities, including the annual Business Plan, interim forecasts, and strategic financial initiatives in collaboration with senior leadership. - Prepare and analyze internal management reports, such as income statement variances and key financial indicators, providing insights to support decision-making. - Manage regulatory compliance, including tax filings, Central Bank reporting, and adherence to evolving accounting standards and legal requirements. - Oversee intercompany transactions, ensuring proper billing, reconciliation, and reporting across related entities. - Support corporate reporting needs, supplying financial data to departments such as Treasury, Legal, and Real Estate for external disclosures and surveys. - Lead financial systems management, identifying and resolving system issues, and implementing tools to enhance financial operations and reporting accuracy. - Coordinate internal and external audits, ensuring readiness, compliance, and timely resolution of audit findings. - Drive continuous improvement, identifying process inefficiencies, implementing corrective actions, and tracking performance metrics. Skills: Business Acumen: Knowledge of business concepts, tools, and processes that are needed for making sound decisions in the context of the company's business; ability to apply this knowledge appropriately to diverse situations. Finance and Accounting: Knowledge of finance and accounting practices, financial analysis, and reporting; ability to apply finance knowledge appropriately to diverse situations. Strategic Thinking: Knowledge of the importance of "big picture" thinking and planning; ability to apply organizational acumen and competitiveness to identify and maintain focus on key success factors for the organization. Leadership: Knowledge of leadership practices and processes; ability to use strategies and skills to enlist others in setting, embracing, and achieving objectives while having a long-term perspective of the future state of things and how to get there. Basic requirements: - Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a relevant business discipline - Pre Advanced English Top candidates will also have: - Experience in, and a thorough knowledge of the financial accounting activities of a multinational company are recommended. - Experience in business planning, budgeting, project management and supervision and leadership is required. - Ability to apply GAAP appropriately within the organization. - Advanced/Fluent English - Intermediate Spanish - CPA/CMA strongly preferred. - Advanced degree preferred (MBA) - Business transformation Posting Dates: October 3, 2025 - October 4, 2025 Caterpillar is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
