- This role offers the opportunity to lead the design and execution of high-impact signage and visual communication projects across multiple industries. You will create and oversee comprehensive signage packages, including large-format graphics, vehicle wraps, and ADA-compliant tactile and Braille signage, ensuring both creative excellence and regulatory adherence. The position requires strong technical proficiency, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to translate complex client needs into functional, visually compelling designs. You will collaborate closely with project managers, production teams, and clients, managing multiple projects simultaneously while mentoring junior designers. The role emphasizes a blend of creative leadership, production knowledge, and precision in delivering high-quality visual solutions in a fast-paced environment.
Accountabilities
- Lead the design and development of diverse signage packages, including dimensional lettering, regulatory and safety signage, banners, and commercial graphics.
- Ensure ADA compliance by designing tactile characters and Grade 2 Braille signage.
- Collaborate with project managers, production teams, and clients to ensure design intent is met and expectations exceeded.
- Create professional mock-ups for client review and approval, managing feedback and revisions efficiently.
- Prepare production-ready artwork and optimize files for print using RIP software and industry best practices.
- Operate wide-format printers and vinyl plotters, overseeing print quality and finishing.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing workflow and deadlines while maintaining high standards of quality.
- 5+ years of professional graphic design experience, specifically within signage or large-format printing.
- Proven expertise in ADA-compliant signage, including tactile graphics and Grade 2 Braille.
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign).
- Familiarity with RIP software (e.g., Onyx, Caldera, FlexiSIGN-PRO) and print production processes.
- Experience operating wide-format printers and vinyl plotters.
- Strong understanding of color management, file preparation, and print production standards.
- Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present and defend design concepts.
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to mentor junior team members and contribute independently.
- Competitive salary: $2,500 USD monthly.
