  • Ability to understand and anticipate customer needs and the dynamics of our target markets

  • Proven experience as a Product Manager in the payments industry, with a focus on card authorization
  • Deep understanding of Visa and Mastercard product rules and technical specifications
  • Familiarity with authorization flows, ISO 8583 messaging, and integration with acquirers and issuers
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret performance data and make evidence-based decisions
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across technical and non-technical audiences
  • Intermediate to advanced English (for reading technical documentation and interacting with global partners
  • This is a remote position. A remote position does not require job duties be performed within proximity of a Visa office location. Remote positions may be required to be present at a Visa office with scheduled notice. #LI-Remote
  • Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • 5 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications

  • 6 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or 4 or more years of relevant experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or up to 3 years of relevant experience with a PhD
  • Own the product roadmap for card authorization, ensuring alignment with the company’s strategic goals.
  • Act as the main point of contact between engineering, business, compliance teams, issuers, and external partners (such as card networks and acquirers).
  • Ensure products comply with the latest Visa and Mastercard rules and updates.
  • Monitor and analyze authorization performance metrics (approval rates, declines, fraud, etc.) and drive continuous improvements.
  • Participate in technical and strategic forums with card networks and partners to anticipate regulatory and technological changes.
  • Conduct discovery with internal and external stakeholders to identify opportunities for innovation and efficiency.
  • Define and prioritize functional and technical requirements in collaboration with engineering teams.
  • Ensure product quality, including non-functional aspects such as integrity, resilience, and scalability.
