• This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior Rust Software Engineer in Latin America.
• In this role, you will architect and develop high-performance backend systems for critical applications, working on core infrastructure, APIs, and performance-sensitive components. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including product, data, and engineering to deliver reliable, scalable, and maintainable solutions. Accountabilities

• Architect, develop, and maintain high-performance backend systems and APIs.
• Build and optimize performance-critical components, ensuring reliability and scalability.
• Collaborate with product, data, and engineering teams to deliver integrated solutions.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers, promoting best practices in code quality and architecture.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and observability for production systems.
• Participate in design decisions, balancing trade-offs between performance, maintainability, and scalability.
• Maintain documentation and support knowledge sharing across teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical field.
• 5+ years of software development experience with 3+ years in Rust production environments.
• Proficiency in Rust, including ownership, lifetimes, and concurrency.
• Experience with API development (REST, gRPC), service integration, and distributed systems.
• Familiarity with containers (Docker), orchestration (Kubernetes), and on-premise server deployments.
• Competence in SQL/NoSQL databases, data modeling, and low-level performance optimization.
• Strong English communication skills (written and spoken) and collaborative mindset.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins) and asynchronous programming.
• Nice to have: .NET/C#, Python, AI inference, medical device compliance, message brokers (Kafka, NATS, RabbitMQ), contributions to open-source Rust projects, cloud platform familiarity (AWS, Azure, GCP).
