- This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior Site Reliability Engineer (V) in Latin America.
- We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Site Reliability Engineer to help define and implement reliability practices for a fast-growing, mission-driven organization. In this role, you will be the first SRE hire, responsible for shaping processes, building automation, and mentoring engineers to establish a high-performing reliability function from the ground up. You will work closely with DevOps, SysOps, and engineering teams to enhance observability, incident response, and operational efficiency. Your work will directly influence system stability, uptime, and resilience, while contributing to the broader transformation from a traditional NOC model to a modern SRE approach. This position offers a unique opportunity to combine technical leadership, hands-on engineering, and strategic impact in a collaborative, fully remote LATAM environment.
Accountabilities
- · Design and implement SRE best practices, processes, and tooling to establish a modern reliability function.
- · Lead operational transformation, guiding the transition from traditional NOC operations to automation-driven Site Reliability Engineering.
- · Own observability and monitoring systems, improving dashboards, alerting, and metrics using tools like Grafana, CloudWatch, and Datadog.
- · Automate infrastructure and operational tasks through Terraform, scripting, and cloud-native automation.
- · Define, measure, and report SLIs, SLOs, and error budgets to ensure accountability for system uptime and stability.
- · Collaborate with development, operations, and engineering teams to identify automation opportunities and enhance operational maturity.
- · Mentor and support team members, building skills and knowledge across the organization.
- · 5+ years of experience in SRE, DevOps, or advanced systems engineering roles.
- · Proven track record in building or transforming SRE practices in complex environments.
- · Strong AWS expertise and experience with secrets management tools such as AWS Secrets Manager, HashiCorp Vault, Keeper, or Infisical.
- · Hands-on experience with infrastructure-as-code tools, including Terraform, Chef, Puppet, or Ansible.
- · Proficiency in Python, Ruby, or equivalent scripting languages for automation and integration.
- · Deep understanding of monitoring, observability, incident response, and service reliability principles.
- · Experience defining and managing SLIs, SLOs, and stability metrics.
- · Familiarity with Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket) is highly desirable.
- · Excellent collaboration, mentorship, and communication skills.
- · Experience in regulated industries (insurance, fintech, healthcare) is a plus.
- · AWS certifications and background in CI/CD pipelines and modern DevOps practices are highly preferred.
- · Competitive salary paid in USD.
- · Full-time, 100% remote work within Latin America.
- · Opportunity to shape a newly established SRE function and influence system reliability practices.
- · Work with cutting-edge cloud, automation, and observability technologies.
- · Collaborate with a culturally diverse, mission-driven, and fully remote engineering team.
