- Strategic Market Development Identify and evaluate business opportunities for government identification solutions (e.g., e-IDs, e-passports, and secureauthentication technologies) as well as electronic ticketing solutions for public transportation systems across North and South America Develop and execute regional business strategies, considering market dynamics, regulatory landscapes, and technological trends in secure identification and fare collection solutions for public transit systems Build strong relationships with government entities, public transportation authorities, integrators, and industry partners to position the company as a trusted supplier for both government ID projects and smart ticketing systems Explore synergies between government identification and electronic ticketing systems to offer integrated, secure, and scalable solutions to public entities Collaborate closely with the sales team to provide technical and business guidance for both government identification and transit ticketing solutions, supporting proposal development, tenders, and negotiations Deliver cross-functional support where both secure identification and transportation ticketing solutions can be bundled or customized, drivinghigher-value offerings Support large-scale projects involving secure identification and fare collection systems by coordinating diverse stakeholders, ensuring compliance with regional regulations, and collaborating with ecosystem partners such as fare system integrators, transit software developers, and government IT providers Develop actionable recommendations to guide product roadmaps and strategies for both government ID solutions and transit ticketing technologies Provide internal reports on market conditions, customer needs, and sales performance Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field such as Business Administration, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical/engineering discipline Preferred: Master's Degree (MBA or technical specialization) with a focus on marketing, strategy, or international business 5+ years of experience in Sales or Business Development, ideally in the semiconductor industry, secure identification, or government-relate projects Demonstrated experience in working with public institutions for government identification solutions, including e-IDs, biometric authentication, e-passports, or other secure embedded solutions Complementary experience in supporting or collaborating on electronic ticketing projects, such as NFC/contactless cards, mobile ticketing solutions, smart transportation systems, or automated fare collection technologies, is a strong plus but not mandatory Thorough understanding of B2G sales cycles and public tender processes in the North and South America. Experience working in an international and multicultural environment Primary Skills (Government Identification): Knowledge of secure embedded systems, semiconductor products, and related cryptographic security technologies used in government ID programs Familiarity with biometric technologies, NFC/RFID chipsets, and secure authentication standards (e.g., PKI or ISO standards for ID cards and passports) Ability to discuss and comprehend technical specifications for government identification products with both technical and non-technical audiences Awareness of smart card technologies, contactless systems, mobile payment solutions, and backend transit systems related to eg. electronic ticketing in public transportation Familiarity with fare collection technologies and integration of chipsets and secure hardware in public transit systems is a beneficial asset Proficiency with CRM tools (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics) and analytics platforms for tracking sales opportunities and performance Hands-on experience in managing partnerships with system integrators, VARs, and public-sector solution providers Fluent in Portuguese, Spanish, and English (both written and verbal). Ability to negotiate, present, and engage in business at executive levels in all three languages Understanding of culturally nuanced business practices, government protocols, and transit authority relationships in the American market. Strategic Thinking: Capable of analyzing market and technology trends in government identification and public transit ticketing systems to inform business development strategies Strong Communication and Negotiation: Skilled in building trust with diverse stakeholders, negotiating contracts, and navigating both government procurement processes and potential public-private partnerships for transit solutions Relationship Management: Confident engaging with government agencies,transit authorities, corporate partners, and other stakeholders in thesecure ID and public transit ecosystems Problem-Solving Abilities: Innovative and resourceful in addressing challenges surrounding technical implementation, regulatory compliance, and integration challenges in transportation ticketing Team Collaboration: Comfortable working collaboratively with sales,marketing, and technical teams in cross-functional, multiculturalsettings (on-site or remotely) Cultural Adaptability: Sensitive to the linguistic, social, and professional norms of North and South America, enabling strong customerrelations and tailored business practices Proactive Personality: A self-starter who thrives in dynamic, complexenvironments, driving projects independently while managing parallel priorities Ability to travel across North and South America extensively (~30-50%),meeting stakeholders and supporting projects on-site Comfortable being the face of the company at industry associations, trade shows, industry conferences, public sector summits, and transportation technology forums.
