- Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
- Build software that powers real‑world decisions. As a Software Development Intern, you’ll contribute to production web applications across the stack—.NET Core and Python on the back end, React and jQuery on the front end—inside a collaborative culture that prizes innovation, performance, and scalability. Expect structured mentorship, meaningful ownership, and hands‑on experience with projects ranging from spatial data tools to specialized oil & gas solutions—think seismic and well data visualization/manipulation and web‑scraping pipelines—where advanced technology meets complex business challenges. - Tasks:
- * Work with the development team to design, build, and maintain features across company applications using SQL, Java, .NET, Python, and JavaScript—leveraging frameworks such as React and jQuery.
Skills and Knowledge
- * Analytical thinking – ability to break down problems into smaller components.
- * Understanding of algorithms – basic concepts like loops, conditionals, and data structures.
- * Strong written and verbal communication skills in Portuguese and English.
- * Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Supervisory Responsibilities:
- This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
- Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:
- This is an internship position with a workload of 6 hours per day, totaling 30 hours per week.
- Activities may be performed at Katalyst’s office or remotely, depending on availability and team coordination.
- The work schedule is flexible within regular business hours (Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.), while respecting the 6-hour daily requirement.
- Hybrid work model – three remote days and two on-site days per week.
- Travel:
- This position does not require travel. All work will be conducted in-office or virtually. If participation in an offsite meeting or company event is ever requested, Katalyst will cover or reimburse all related expenses in accordance with company policies and local regulations.
- Required Education and Experience
- Currently enrolled in a technology-related undergraduate program with at least one year remaining before graduation.
