  • We are seeking a Software Engineer II with a strong foundation in accounting to help design, develop, and maintain software solutions for financial processes. In this role, you will bridge technical and financial expertise, improving reconciliation, reporting, and automation workflows. You will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, contributing to backend development, API integration, and database management while ensuring software quality and compliance. Accountabilities

  • Develop, maintain, and enhance backend systems, APIs, and software tools to support financial processes and reconciliation workflows.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement features that improve automation, accuracy, and reporting.
  • Leverage accounting experience to identify gaps, optimize processes, and ensure compliance with financial standards.
  • Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including coding, testing, deployment, and documentation.
  • Evaluate, deploy, and maintain software tools, monitoring performance and implementing improvements.
  • Provide guidance and support to team members on financial software usage and best practices.
  • Ensure adherence to project plans, coding standards, and quality metrics across deliverables.
  • Prior experience as an accountant or financial analyst, with solid knowledge of financial operations such as reconciliation, reporting, and compliance.
  • 3–7 years of professional software engineering experience, with a strong grasp of backend development and relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL).
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language (Golang, Python, or Java) and familiarity with API development.
  • Experience with cloud infrastructure and DevOps tools, including AWS, Kubernetes, and GitLab CI/CD.
  • Strong understanding of software development methodology, testing (unit, integration, end-to-end), and release processes.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • High standards for quality, strong problem-solving skills, and ability to collaborate effectively across teams.

Nice to Have

  • Familiarity with frontend technologies such as React or React Native.
  • Experience in fintech or financial services software.
  • Exposure to automated reporting, monitoring tools (Grafana, Prometheus), and financial metrics.
