Department Overview The International Command Centre Software presales team is responsible for defining, designing and demonstrating software solutions based upon our public safety portfolio in all territories excluding North America. The team also demonstrates Motorola Solutions’ wider portfolio, including body worn and in car video solutions, fixed video and land mobile radios. The team provides specialist support to our regional sales teams concerning both our portfolio and the customer’s domain. To do so, the team possesses detailed knowledge of our portfolio as well as deep knowledge of the customer’s domain. This includes not only technical expertise but also knowledge of how our customers expect such solutions to be deployed and managed in service. Job Description Join our mission to enhance public safety and emergency response across Latin America. We are seeking a driven and experienced Solutions Architect to design and champion mission-critical technology for police, fire, and health agencies. In this role, you will be the key technical leader in the sales process, using your deep industry knowledge to architect solutions that solve complex challenges and ultimately help save lives. You will be the bridge between customer needs and our technological capabilities, ensuring the solutions we propose are innovative, robust, and effective. What You'll Do (Key Responsibilities) Lead Solution Design: Act as the primary technical architect for public safety clients, designing comprehensive solutions by integrating our applications with their existing infrastructure and business processes. Consultative Selling: Employ a consultative approach to understand customer challenges deeply. You will lead technical presentations, demonstrations, and workshops to show how our solutions can meet their strategic objectives. Technical Validation: Analyze customer environments, including their IT infrastructure, IP networks, and software systems, to ensure the viability and success of the proposed solution. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Serve as the technical hub, coordinating with internal sales teams, product managers, engineers, and external partners to build a cohesive and supportable solution. Oversee Transition Planning: Leverage your expertise to develop and articulate clear transition and implementation plans, giving customers confidence in their journey to bring new solutions into service. Be the Subject Matter Expert: Maintain and grow your expertise in public safety technologies and control room operations, acting as a trusted advisor to both customers and internal teams. #LI-WC1 Basic Requirements Candidates MUST reside in Santiago de Chile or Sao Paulo. If you are interested, you must submit your resume in English. Whilst this is a primarily pre-sale role, it is expected that suitable candidates will have several years of experience in the detailed design and deployment of complex IT solutions in order to have credibility with potential customers. The following skills are essential: The ability to sell technically: to accurately and authoritatively present, demonstrate and write about complex IT-based technical solutions Fluent in spoken and written Portuguese and English, with the ability to clearly document complex technical solutions to customers Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation skills. The following skills are considered highly desirable: Good understanding of control room business processes used by public safety agencies (police, fire and health) in Brazil, Chile and other countries in Latin America Motorola Solutions product portfolio experience and/or relevant experience in key competitor offerings in the control room business Understanding and conversant about company and competitors, technologies, solutions, product strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats Education Successful candidates are likely to hold a Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution, OR A two year technical degree with a minimum of 2 years military experience, OR A minimum of three years’ experience working in an external customer interfacing role specifically in the Telecommunications or IT Industry. Certifications related to system and network architecture such as MCSE, MSNE, CWNA, CCNA/CCDP, MCSE/NE, CISSP would be an advantage. Location/Travel The position is office based in either Santiago or Sao Paulo. with up to 50% located at Motorola Solutions or customer offices within Latin America as required for specific projects.
