- In this role, you will act as a strategic technical leader, designing, implementing, and overseeing end-to-end data solutions that drive business impact. You will work closely with engineering teams and clients to ensure scalable, reliable, and secure architectures that integrate seamlessly with diverse data platforms and cloud environments. The position requires a balance of hands-on technical expertise, leadership, and communication skills, providing guidance to teams while influencing technical decisions at the client level. You will be responsible for crafting solutions that leverage modern data stacks and cutting-edge technologies, while fostering innovation and excellence across projects. - Accountabilities
- Lead the design and implementation of robust, scalable data architectures across multiple cloud platforms.
- Guide and mentor engineering teams to ensure technical excellence and adherence to best practices.
- Collaborate with clients to gather requirements, define solution approaches, and translate business needs into technical designs.
- Develop detailed documentation including POCs, roadmaps, sequence diagrams, and system architecture views.
- Ensure data integration, security, performance, and operational reliability of delivered solutions.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to optimize workflows, data pipelines, and automation frameworks.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; advanced degrees preferred.
- Minimum 8 years of hands-on experience as a Solutions Architect and/or Data Engineer designing and implementing enterprise data solutions.
- Proven experience leading and mentoring technical teams.
- Strong programming skills in Java, Python, and/or Scala.
- Expertise in cloud data platforms such as Snowflake, AWS, Azure, Databricks, and GCP.
- Advanced SQL skills and the ability to optimize complex queries.
- Excellent client-facing written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with data integration technologies (Spark, Kafka, Streamsets, Matillion, Fivetran, NiFi, AWS/Azure Data Migration Services).
- Familiarity with cloud and distributed storage systems (S3, ADLS, HDFS, GCS, Kudu, Elasticsearch/Solr, Cassandra).
- Experience with workflow orchestration and automation tools (Airflow, Luigi, NiFi, dbt, Spark streaming).
- Complete software development lifecycle experience including design, documentation, implementation, testing, and deployment.
- Preferred: Production experience in multiple core data platforms, automated data pipelines, and cloud-native architectures.
